**BOOK SYNOPSIS**
In this third novel in the Jackson’s Pond, Texas series, fifty-five-year-old Melanie Jackson Banks encounters racism, intolerance, and violence both in her family’s distant past and in current day Jackson’s Pond. She leads family and community efforts to create reconciliation for past wrongs and also to demonstrate strength and defiance in the face of vandalism, cross-burning, domestic violence, threats to Jackson Ranch’s operation, and kidnapping. I LOVED this book! My favorite aspects of women's fiction are all here: NYC, fashion, friendship, art, glitz and glamour, food, humor...all combined with a bit of a mystery and a writing style that brings you right in and doesn't let you go. I didn't want this book to end. I was honestly quite surprised at how well written it was, I was expecting fluff considering the author is a former Real Housewife of New York but there were several times this book forced some deep thinking and had me pondering on love vs desire and choices we make. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author. Highly recommended! Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC
