Wonder Woman
THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS
Honestly, I don't understand why this movie is a big deal for feminists. I get that its Wonder Woman and its about a bad ass female. I just think that all the parts about a man justifying her actions are overlooked. Don't believe me? Think about it. Diana comes from an island where there are no men. She leaves the island to go with the first guy she ever meets. That night she makes out with him. Not all of this bothers me. (Except when she started making out with Steve I was a little peeved.) What gets me the most about this movie is that when Steve is killed, Diana goes crazy and starts to turn "evil". However, when she realizes he loved her, everything is fine again. She shouldn't have to realize this guy she just met loves her if this movie is suppose to be all about girl power and how you don't need a man.

My new favourite superhero!!
Wonder Woman continues to try and protect Zola and her baby, but Zola is kidnapped by Hades (Cake-Head?). The price of Zola's Liberty is marriage between Hades and Diana. Of course. There are lots of twists and turns, Hera gets involved again (of course), various things backfire and we're left on another cliffhanger at the end - all ready for volume 3!!
I'm enjoying these, and will probably have at least the next 2 volumes on my Christmas list!

Jessica - Where the Book Ends (15 KP) rated Wonder Woman: Warbringer in Books

I must start off by saying that I picked up this book completely on a whim. I had seen the Wonder Woman movie and hadn't cared for it at all. I've noticed over the last couple years that I am definitely more of a Marvel fan than I am DC; however, that being said, I ended up enjoying this book A LOT. Another thing I need to point no matter how ashamed I am of this; Wonder Woman was the first book I've read by Leigh Bardugo. I've heard a lot about her writing style around booktube, and she has tons of fans. I must admit I quite enjoyed her writing style and even went so far as to purchase Shadow & Bone immediately after finishing this book.
I read this book in 2 ways. I physically read some of it and I also listened to a bit of it on Overdrive from my local library. I really enjoyed both aspects of it. Wonder Woman as a character was very well written and her journey in this story was much more enjoyable than in the movie.
The plot of the story was unique and moved along quickly which kept me deeply enthralled in the story and left me not wanting to put the book down. The characters are we written (especially WW). The supporting characters are easy to relate to, but when all is said and done I must admit they were easy to forget.
Overall I give it 4 stars and look forward to the other DC books that are coming out in the coming months.

Wow!! I have been fascinated by WWII & the Holocaust for years. I'm glad I saw a friend of a friend recommend this book on Facebook. This is one of the most heroic women I've read about. Her story made me cry, gave me chills, made me wonder, but most of all it gave me hope. She put herself out there for others and lost a great deal in the process. But she chose to focus on all she gained. What an a,axing woman & a wonderful book.

When Lee meets Sissy Smith, she begins to wonder about the rumors that this young woman killer her husband a few months back. When Sissy comes under suspicion of a new death, Lee jumps in to figure out what is happening. The characters are always enjoyable, although I miss the supporting cast we used to see. Still the plot is strong and keeps the pages turning.

From Goodreads: This story I found to be quite boring. Mia does have a backbone, and she seems to know what she wants, but I don't know how she finds Kenyon so appealing. All I saw in him was a pompous d-bag. I mean, at least he never cheated on a woman, I guess. For a novella, there was barely in action in it. Romances like these seem to get lamer and lamer the more I read them. Huh, I wonder what that says about me.

Watched last night it's okay I liked it alot I remember when the graphic novel came out what if superman was raised in Russia and become a communist version of superman which I thought was a good concept for a comic book Now I've watched the animated movie it's just as I pictured it to be I liked the way the story took characters like bat man wonder woman and slightly change them to what were used to from them overall not bad movie
