Taylor portrays an unimaginable circumstance, being stranded on an island, with beautiful writing and an intriguing subplot. The sisters are very believable though I found it difficult to like Henri most of the time.

I loved this collection of 1602; the historical setting was great. I did like the writing, which is strange because Gaiman is hit or miss with me. The art was lovely, and the story-line was interesting.
