Overall Difficult Women is a pretty good set of stories. Since this is the first I've read from this author I didn't know what to expect, but I really love her writing style.

I want to call it wholesome, but that isn’t quite accurate. There is just something very good about her writing. And I don’t necessarily mean that in a technical or even aesthetic sense.

It’s difficult to single out the most accomplished parts. The ambition is immense, the fantasy world exceptionally well-conceived,the writing and acting elevating the entire series beyond contemporaries & the visual appeal continues to surprise

It has a pleasant digital sheen, filled with little percolating details -- but the songcraft of this writing collective is so strong, it's not hard to imagine the individual tunes appearing at other points in Music City history

A continuation. If you have not read the other series you may be confused. It took me awhile to figure out what was happening and who everyone was. I enjoyed the writing but just didn't enjoy the story because the characters seemed already developed and I felt like I was missing something.
