The publisher is selling this book hard, comparing it to the X-Files, Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, and Dan Brown (ew). This novel is about a dude who has a youtube show to seek out different truths and whatnot, basically, a tinge of Ancient Aliens with some Tomb Raider thrown in there.
There was also an indication that this might be somewhat of a horror, though it wasn't, I've read more graphic descriptions of death in a Jo Nesbo novel.
The book took a little bit to get going, but after it did, I demolished it in two 150 page reading stretches. This book is officially released 19 June 2018.

A fun book about a generally taboo subject
I first came across Caitlin Doughty when her YouTube channel 'Ask A Mortician' came up on suggestions. I loved how she was able to talk about such a typically taboo and awkward subject in such an engaging way, and when I found out about her books I knew I had to read them. She writes as she speaks, which means these books often take a light hearted approach, which can make the subject matter easier to deal with. I highly recommend this book to anyone who isn't afraid to step outside the norm :)

Stunning!
Been excited to see this one since I saw the trailer on YouTube. Cameron and Rodriguez bringing the comic to life got my nerdiness in a tizzy. And the movie didn't disappoint. The film is beautifully shot. The locations and characters feel real. Was able to watch the 3D version, which only added to the beauty and detail. The ending seemed a bit tacked on and rushed but overall this was a fun ride, led by the stunning title character whose eyes lock you in from the opening and never let you go. Would recommend.
