[The Young World} by [Chris Weitz] is a well written post apocalyptic story with a twist. All adults are die in a plague leaving the young to survive for themselves it becomes very much like [Lord of the Flies]. Also as the young people become a certain age they contract the plague that killed the adults. When they find that this plague was man made they fight to find the cure and save their friends and themselves.

This book was enjoyable and a quick read. It fits very well in a very popular YA genre.

"A delightful introduction to number theory, Einstein’s theory of relativity, higher dimensions, and other mathematical and scientific topics. I read it as a young adult, but it’s informative for old adults too."

The Book Thief is one of my favorite young adult novels. The creativity of writing from the perspective of Death made this story memorable to me. I felt close to the characters and empathized with them.

Cath is relatable. (2 more)
Draws in young adult readers but also allows "older" adults to relate.

Fantastic Teen Fiction
Rainbow Rowell knows how to relate to young adult readers and how to get "older" adults to reflect back and see themselves in the characters' situations. This book made me fangirl Rainbow so bad! Cath and Wren are twins trying to create their own paths as they step into adulthood. Cath struggles along that path

A good read for young adults and "grown up" adults. Easy to follow, strong female character, magic and mayhem. Wonderful visuals painted with words. (0 more)
The climax of the story takes a while to get to. This story has a slow build up, with spats of action peppered throughout. It is important to be patient with this novel. (0 more)

I was blow away by how easily I got sucked into this book and series. Its definitely for young adults but the world building and lore will keep you reading wanting to know what's next

Focussed on 'Smurfette' and promotes 'girl power' - girls can save the day too!
Feels more like it should belong on TV rather than the big screen. (1 more)

Summer Night (2019)

This is an interesting look at how young adults can spend a summer night, partying and trying to figure out relationships and life in general, it would work better as a television series as we could spend more time with the characters.
