Short Story of a young Jack Reacher
This is a Jack Reacher Short Story which gives us a look at 13 year old Reacher. He is very similar to adult Reacher, thoughtfully efficient fighter with an uncanny logic to solve mysteries.

The first part of this gives us some nice family background but the end suddenly has Jack solving mysteries super quick. It needed to be a tad longer and let the mysteries develop as it just came across as rather a rapid jump of logic for a 13 year old that adults didn’t get near. I would of been happy just to get a bit more picture of a young Reacher without having the pretty much fully formed characteristics of the adult on show.

All in all an OK quick story; I listened to the audiobook which was around 1 hour and aside from the voice of his Father was well narrated by Kerry Shale. Probably one for just existing Reacher fans.

Dinosaurs are a fascination for most children at a young age. Most children are into them. I have been into Dinosaurs since I was a little kid. I still have a fascination with them. This book, "Dinosaurs," is geared toward young readers and children.

It has rhyming and some fun facts about dinosaurs for children to learn. The book can help teach children and adults how to pronounce some famous dinosaurs' names and give a few fun facts about them though out the book. Little ones can hold the book, point at the dinosaurs, and have fun looking at and opening the book without damaging the book.

Dinosaurs are fun and enjoy the read. I like how a child or children can learn about dinosaurs through this book. The pictures are done well and enjoyable. Parents will love this book as it is educational and enjoyable for their children.

Dinosaurs are for though that who love learning about Dinosaurs. The board book is made nice and thick for those young readers. These are some famous dinosaurs.

Are you looking for a good clean romance for your teens or young adults? Well, Beholden is good for them. It deals with princes and knights. It also has a sweet story about beauty. What a way to have action and adventures. The heroes have to work together.

I enjoyed learning about the gem mines and the slaves. We get a bit of an evil queen and slavery. It seems it is a modern-day fairy tale of Cinderella. Jody does well with the plot and storyline. What a way to pull into the story. It keeps you wanting to turn the pages once the action starts to pick up.

The adventures begin to heighten up once Gabriella is released from the mines. Who will win? The princes are to do testing to see if they are worth the kingship. The princes are given a phrase that is different for each prince.

I wonder what each means and for that prince. Slave for all what can that mean. You will be trying to figure it out along with Vilmar. What is Gabriella's plan? Can Vilmar find the true meaning to Slave to all and find help from the slaves and Gabriella?

My rating for this book is 4.5 stars (Moons) on my rating system. Which make my rating system will have it marked 4 stars (Moons). This book good for teens and young adults. It got romance and fantasy. If your teen or young adult enjoy fairy tales, this book has it and more.

This is a book written for the Young Adult market ... I have to confess that I am a few years past what I would call a young adult ... well, quite a few actually ... but nevertheless I really enjoyed this story and I know I would have loved it when I was a teenager.

This book is The Famous Five on steroids; although there are six of them and no dog! Full of action, thrills and tension but it also explores many of the issues that young people have to face growing up such as mental health, death, grief and relationships but it does so with ease and with sympathy and understanding.

The characters were really well developed and although not all of them I particularly liked, they all felt right somehow. The setting was perfect and so well described that my hair frizzed due to the humidity! The pace was good and the writing style was easy to read so much so that I raced through quite quickly.

This is a great thriller for people of any age even though it is primarily aimed at young adults and I want to thank HQ (an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers) and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.

Excellent
Rian Johnson is a genius.

With his directorial debut he crafts an excellent story, that features some of the best young adult actors in recent history. It becomes even more impressive when you realise how few adults feature in the film.
With a mystery that puts you on the edge of your seat, a murder, a drug den and adult themes that most would refrain from showing in this context, this neo-noir is a reminder of what is great about the noir genre.
Expertly filmed, edited and scored, with some beautiful shots that leave you breathless, this film will not disappoint.

ok so um the fuck kinda ending is that. why do you think it's okay if i cry. this show was so good with a diverse cast, funny moments, a shitton of drama, and amazing moments. How did they come up with all of this? who knows, it's amazing nonetheless. I love this show a lot. Something that made me uncomfortable was that the oldest of these students was 15, and that's really young for some of the racy scenes. Adults may argue about the cursing, but no, that's normal. very normal. otherwise, everything in this show was nice, perfect, beautiful, the like.

The game is afoot
A decent fun adventure as the younger sister of the famous detective goes in search of their Mother. This obviously has quite a big budget and features a talented cast. Millie Bobby Brown, of @Stranger Things is fun to watch in this. Quite lighthearted and only a 12 rating suggests the target audience is young adults. This isn't taxing on the old grey cells and doesn't have a great deal of mystery to it. However it held my interest. If you enjoy the Sherlock character then you should find this an enjoyable watch.

What a wonderful book for young children who have siblings. I loved this book, and while my children are older now, I so wish I had had this book when they were younger. This book is well written by the talented hands of Tracey Madder and is full of eye catching color and characters to really grab the attention of your young ones.

Tora Fright's story of forgiveness is a wonderful message for kiddos and adults alike. It has more than one message wrapped up in sweet Tora's story and it is so worth the read. I found myself turning to God more than once while reading this book, and thanking Him for the gentle reminders.

If you have young ones in your life, children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, then I highly recommed this book with 5 stars, especially if they have siblings, as patience, kindness and forgiveness are all woven into this story. I am looking forward to checking out the other Tora Fright books and seeing what other lessons she learns!

My Brilliant Friend
My Brilliant Friend
2018 | Drama, Mystery

"This extraordinary series, based on the collection of books, portrays the story of two young girls and their friendship over time. What is astounding to me is the agency and the “voice” of the two young prepubescent girls that is shown in ways rarely seen on screen. Psychologist Carol Gilligan, wrote extensively of the ways in which girl’s voices are squashed and eradicated by puberty. Likewise, filmmakers rarely portray this vital stage in young girl’s development. As the series progress and the two girls age, their female characters are impacted, twisted, and crushed by the pressure of society. It’s rare that one actually witnesses the crushing of girls into adults in such an exquisitely truthful manner. How these two girls struggle to survive and thrive under the pressures of marriage and sexuality and lack of educational access clamping down on them with their identity intact is brilliant. At the end of season one, I had the rarest experience: I felt like I had just finished one episode, not eight, as if I was at the very beginning of the story, not the end, and I longed for more narrative to come."

Awix (3310 KP) rated Apaches (1977) in Movies

Apaches (1977)
Apaches (1977)
1977 | Drama, Horror
Nerve-manglingly bleak and grim public information film. Six young children play cowboys and indians, cops and robbers, etc, on a (seemingly quite badly managed) farm and are one-by-one crushed under trailers, drowned in slurry pits, poisoned by weedkiller, etc, etc. All the time the adults are preparing for a mysterious party...

Pretty much guaranteed to traumatise most young viewers, I would have thought, and quite a tough watch for anyone else: you *know* that something horrifically fatal is going to befall one of the young cast every few minutes. In this respect it's written and paced exactly like a horror movie, the kind of thing children would never be allowed to watch - but this is supposed to be educational, see, so they can do things you'd never be allowed to show in an actual commercial movie. Director Mackenzie would go on to make The Long Good Friday and The Fourth Protocol (amongst other things) and brings a mixture of gritty naturalism and an eerie, dream-like quality to the film. Nastily effective: enough to put anyone off a trip to the countryside.
