Wanted it to be Better
In the midst of a zombie outbreak, a special military agency is studying a select group of kids who can manage to control when they "turn". When their base falls to zombies, a small group escapes, including a little girl zombie by the name of Melanie (Sennia Nanua). The group must rely on each other to survive the threats waiting for them at every turn.

The Girl With All the Gifts grabs you with intrigue right from the start as you ask yourself why the kids are guarded so heavily. You quickly come to find out the reason. The film is action-packed, loaded with excellent thrilling scenes that keep you engaged. The scenes can be extremely tense in moments like one scene where the group has to walk quietly through a herd of zombies without being detected. It's definitely an original spin on a zombie film as it centers around the little girl Melanie who's innocent, but also a monster of sorts.

So with all these positive things to say, why didn't I ultimately like the film? The ending absolutely killed it for me. Not only did I not see the value in the resolution, I thought it didn't really match Melanie's character. Based on everything we knew about her up to that point, why make that move? Wasn't on board, not by a long shot.

I thought The Girl With All the Gifts had great potential and achieved it in some spots, but feel just short of being what it should have been. I give it a 65.

Night of the Living Dead- i love this film, such a classic. Its a fantasic phenomenal movie, about survival, surving, the living dead and survival of the finest. Plus you have George A. Ramero directing it. He is missed, he was such a phenomenal and excellent director.

The plot: The story follows seven people who are trapped in a rural farmhouse in western Pennsylvania, which is under assault by an enlargening group of cannibalistic, undead corpses.

The film is regarded as one of the launching pads for the modern zombie movie, and thanks to George we have all of these zombie tv shows and movies today, if it wasnt for him, we wouldn't have all of these zombies tv shows and movies today.

In 2001, the film was ranked No. 93 by the American Film Institute on their AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Thrills list, a list of America's most heart-pounding movies. The zombies in the picture were also a candidate for AFI's AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Heroes & Villains, in the villains category, but failed to make the official list. The Chicago Film Critics Association named it the 5th scariest film ever made. The film also ranked No. 9 on Bravo's The 100 Scariest Movie Moments.

Many critics of this movie find this movie very groundbreaking for its time due to its having a black protagonist.

Night of the Living Dead entered the public domain in the United States because the original theatrical distributor, the Walter Reade Organization, neglected to place a copyright indication on the prints.

Like I said before its a excellent and phenomenal movie.

Tales From The Hood is a horror anthology made up of four short stories as well as a into and ending sequence.

The stories are:
Welcome to My Mortuary
Rogue Cop Revelation
Boys Do Get Bruised
KKK Comeuppance
Hard-Core Convert

Welcome to My Mortuary (ending)

I grew up watching this movie and even as a kid I always enjoyed it but as the older I got I really grew to understand that it is not just a horror movie in the sense that is deals with zombies, monsters, living dolls, and ghost but that it is a horror movie in the sense that it deals with real life horrors such as police brutality, abuse, racism, and gang violence all of which still hold extreme relevant 22 years after the movie was released.

Disappointing
I was excited for this one,it had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but it let me down.

I really enjoyed the world building and character development in as far as it was taken, but I would have liked more depth and backstory on both Jane and Kate as well as Jane and Red Jacks relationship BEFORE as well as more history on the zombies themselves. There is a brief mention of them rising up at Gettysburg and buy few details as to the why and how. Lily seemed centrifugal to the story initially but felt like an after thought overall. Also the story was very slow to start but was totally rushed at the end. As soon as it began to get interesting it ended.

I must be one of the few people who hadn't actually played this the first time around (in the PS3 era): truth be told, I've never really got the pop culture love for Zombies.

However, I knew it was by the team behind the Uncharted games, and so picked it up when it was part of the PSN free games package, and thought I would give it a whirl. Now I've finished it, I have to say: I still prefer the Uncharted games.

Detailing the trials and travails of pottie-mouthed Ellie and Joel in a post-apocalyptic (pandemic?) world, there's no denying the skill and attention to detail put into the plot"; it's just a pity I found the game to be very 'samey' after a while.

Forget Cowboys Vs. Aliens, this is Cowboys Vs. Zombies and it's much more fun.

It had a bit of everything I like in a book: romance, adventure, cowboys...and I kinda like zombie books, too (though they have to have a bit of romance in them as well). It didn't shirk on the horror details either with some rather creepy scenes involving one family.

I really liked Trace/Cowboy and Elisabeth/Red. They were both really great characters and I have to say that Cowboy seemed like the ideal guy to meet in a wild west zombie apocalypse. As for Red, she was pretty kick-arse. The secondary characters were cool too.

I'm very intrigued as to what will happen next in the series and can't wait to read the second book in the series.

I have to say this is one of the most misleading titles I have ever seen. I was really excited to read this book it sounded interesting and I've been a fan of both Alice in Wonderland and Zombies since I was just a kid so this seemed right up my alley..too bad that's not what I got at all. I read a little less than half the book and I just couldn't make myself finish it it was causing me actual pain.

One of the things that really got to me that actually had nothing to do with the plot was that it was so damn preachy and that was only in the first chapter, I don't mind books that talk about religion or a charter having a set religion but please do not make me feel like I'm being tricked in to going to church with out warning.

The only thing that this book had to do with Alice in Wonderland was a cloud that looked like a white rabbit, the name Alice and a few very small things.

Also, it was like the author looked up every cliche for a YA book and every teenage cliche from books and movies,(the perfect popular girl, the stunningly pretty but I'm so average protagonist, and the dark bad boy and slut shaming.)threw them in a blender and came out this.

Alice or Ali could have been a strong female lead but she came off as a mean, selfish, and a whiny person that I did not connect with at all, actually the only character I kind of like was her little sister Emma..and that didn't last long.

Cole was absolutely horrid, please stop making these alpha male asshole characters in YA books it's not clever or cute or romantic it down right unhealthy.

The writing was about average and since I know nothing about this author it doesn't really make me want to give any of her other works even a chance if this is what I'm in for.

The only thing I liked about this book was the title which wasn't even original and the cover art.

So all in all if you're looking for:
A take on Alice in Wonderland
Zombies and everything that comes with them
A teen girl kicking ass and killing the undead
Actual zombies at all
A good book

Then move along and don't waste your money because you'll get none of that here.
