Neither Man Knows The Truth
2 Guns- is a decent action thriller with a good supporting cast. Its kinda of boring, but its still a intresting movie. With comedy, drama and suspesne in the mix.

The plot: For the past year, DEA agent Bobby Trench (Denzel Washington) and U.S. Navy intelligence officer Marcus Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) have been working under cover as members of a narcotics syndicate. The twist: Neither man knows that the other is an undercover agent. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, the men are disavowed by their superiors. Trench and Stigman must go on the run lest they wind up in jail or in a grave.

Not really a movie that i would reccordmend watching, but if you like both Denzel and Mark than maybe you will like it.

Better-than-you'd-expect crime drama built around the closest thing to an actual acting performance Jason Statham has ever given. Statham plays the usual honourable but dangerous leg-breaker, but on this occasion the focus is more on who he is and why he does what he does than the incidentals of the plot.

That said, the script is sympathetically written (Statham doesn't have to cry or emote too much) and he's well-supported by a bunch of other people. There aren't as many action sequences as usual, but when they do come along they are top bracket. In the end it's an interesting combination of character study and violent thriller; my fondness for J-Stat may factor into why I found it fairly agreeable, though. An interesting change of pace for Mr S if nothing else.

The Retreat is an exciting thriller, set on the infamous Reapers Rock. It’s a wellness retreat called LUMEN, and seems perfect. Until a body is found on the rocks.

Initially it looks like a tragic accident, but it transpires that the victim shouldn’t have even been there. And then it’s followed by a diving accident.

There’s loads of mystery, action and secrets on the island, and Detective Elin Walker is the one to solve the crimes.

I felt that Elin was much more together and confident than she was in The Sanitorium, which I think is the reason for her boyfriend Will’s behaviour (honestly, it’s not great behaviour 🤷🏼‍♀️).

I loved how the secrets were slowly revealed - lots of deep intakes of breath on my part!

Absolutely NOT somewhere I’d want to be going on holiday, but a fabulous read!

A Great Sci-Fi Thriller
I watched this yesterday afternoon and I thought is was a very enjoyable sci-fi thriller.

I'm a fan of films which explore interesting ideas and have twists and turns and so 'I am Mother' ,was just my kind of film.

The acting was very good, particularly by the young actress who plays 'daughter'. At first, because the actress is younger, I thought this was going to be a stereotypical teen dystopian movie with some cheesy teen romance through in for good measure, but I was pleasantly surprised how it was more mature than that.

The interesting relationship 'daughter' has with 'Mother' was really interesting. Even though 'Mother' is a machine, the two main characters have some real emotion in their relationship. I think that might have something to do with 'Mother' voice not being metallic, but more 'human'.

This film explores thought provoking ideas, as well has having great tension and action. I also liked the twist towards the end of the film.

The only slight complaint that I had with this film, was that the ending was a tad predictable. However, I still feel that this is satisfactory.

This film is really thought provoking sci-fi film and I would definitely recommend watching it.

This Is Your Ransom
Ransom- is a great thriller. Full of suspense, drama, action, crime and thrills.

The plot: Through a life of hard work, airline owner Tom Mullen (Mel Gibson) has amassed a great deal of wealth. When a group of criminals want a piece of his cash, they kidnap his son (Brawley Nolte) for a $2 million ransom. Encouraged by his wife (Rene Russo) and an FBI agent (Delroy Lindo), Tom prepares to pay the money, but the ransom drop goes awry. Enraged, Tom decides to turn the tables on the kidnappers by making the ransom a bounty on their heads -- which he announces on national television.

The original story came from a 1954 episode of The United States Steel Hour titled "Fearful Decision". In 1956, it was adapted by Richard Maibaum and Cyril Hume into the feature film Ransom!, starring Glenn Ford, Donna Reed, and Leslie Nielsen. The film was also influenced by Ed McBain's police procedural novel King's Ransom.

Also it has a great surporting cast: Rene Russo, Gary Sinise, Brawley Nolte, Delroy Lindo, Liev Schreiber, Evan Handler, Donnie Wahlberg, and Lili Taylor. Gibson. Ron Howard does it again.

Its a great thriller and a must watch film, it will leave you on the edge of your seat until the very end of the film.
