Eimear McBride, who won the Baileys prize in 2014 for a first novel which had struggled to find a publisher, won Britain’s oldest literary award, the James Tait Black prize, for her second, The Lesser Bohemians.

McBride’s The Lesser Bohemians, in which an 18-year-old Irish girl comes to London and falls for an older actor, was described by judges as “an extraordinary rendering of a young woman’s consciousness as she eagerly embarks on a new life in London”.

Established in 1919, The James Tait Black Prizes are Britain's oldest literary awards. There are two book prizes, one for fiction and one for biography.

No sparkle but a lot of stars
For a film that I have heard literally nothing about this little film with a big name is a hidden treasure, based on a true story of gloria graham's later live and her love affair with fellow actor 30 years her junior (peter turner) played by Annette Benning and Jamie Bell ,it's just a nice little film that probably would have worked better as a stage play

Emotional, visually beautiful, and unique
Anyone who has been through a loss of a loved one can relate to this young man in one way or another. After watching, I found myself recalling moments in the film that I had experienced myself almost exactly.
It's not a film you'll forget any time soon.

An ok 3rd installment, although straight to DVD release. Lower budget but the production is pretty good. It's just not as creepy as the first two films. The boy that appears at times was weird in the first two, in this it looks like an older actor was used. The same goes for Kayako, in the first two she was very strange and creepy, in this she just looks very white? For those who really liked the first two films.

I loved this so much - being a huge nerd I totaly related to the content (though not the youtube/actor thing) but I'd totaly go see my fav youtubers in person (not a stalker or anything) and the anxiety rep was great in this - for me anyway - it was totaly relatable and I need more - immediately need more - I think it's a definite must read - the two opposite love story angles in one book - so well done, I loved every second!

Total let down
I was so looking forward to this film and I was crushed by the total trash that was put before me... it was disjointed didn't flow properly, I thought the child actor was awful, too much chopping and changing the comedy was lacking it's backbone totally juvenile I can see some guys will love it but can't see it being one for the ladies... as a marvel film I was very disappointed...

Incredibly cute
I'm a fan of the books but the film delivered in a way I couldn't have expected. This was mostly because the casting of the two main characters was perfection. The casting of Josh felt a slightly poorer fit. The Song Sisters really came into their own in terms of family bonds and difficulties. Peter Kovinsky and the actor brought the movie totally to life and I experienced true escapism watching this. I cannot wait for the next instalment.

Emotional rollercoster
Contains spoilers, click to show
I knew who queen are and thought I knew who freddie was but this showed me the highs and many lows of his life and through it all the amazing music of queen.i have seen some reviews where they criticised the lip syncing but you don't really notice it and the lead has really manages to capture Freddie I wouldnt expect an actor to also be able to sing like Freddie.
Overall a really emotional film and really worth a watch.

Ok... This movie... I don't know. For a movie made around the same time as The Sound of Music and Doctor Zhivago, this movie does not hold up. It is of a much lower quality. The pacing of this movie is very slow and the movie needs to pick a main character. I absolutely agree with nomination for Alan Arkin as best actor. But that is about where the benefits of this movie end. I wouldn't watch this film again.
