In yet another attempt to widen his range, Douglas was a surprising yet perfect choice to play tortured artist Vincent Van Gogh, in his 3rd and final Oscar nominated role. He was custom made to portray the wild passion and intensity of the artist, but it was his quiet moments of calm genius that really impressed. This time he lost the award to Yul Brynner for The King and I, as big, colourful productions began to dominate; also watching on as co-star Anthony Quinn picked up best supporting actor. There are rumours Douglas was less than happy to lose out, and he made a personal vow to soon enter the arena in a big epic that would sweep the board… Although many believe his artistic star had peaked here with the more subtle Lust For Life.

High hopes let down
I'm sure we all had a vision of what the triumphant, long-awaited return of Captain Jean-Luc Picard would look like. The series starts and ends in that vein, being exciting, thoughtful and with a moral lesson, but with a lot of padding throughout the series. Much like Discovery, the series decided to throw a lot of side adventures in the mix and while Picard is much more focussed than its Netflix cousin there are still times when it drags.
Stewart tries well to play his most famous role, but his age shows at times and I felt the makers missed the chance to sensitively keep his character but replaced with a younger actor in the last episode. This would have allowed Stewart to bow out gracefully and show more promise for the future series of his life.

Another Netflix winner!
Nothing to complain about in this romantic comedy, it seems I have a soft spot for the main actor Noah Centineo although he plays the same kind of character in his movies he seems to take all my attention and I'm hooked.

This film is all about a poor guy trying to save to go to Yale, he starts by taking a girl on a date in return for payment, she is a complexed funny character and they seem to hit it off. However through the movie they help eachother hook up with there own soft spots, not that it works out. The main guy sets up his own little money making business, taking girls on dates and being the person they want him to be. Qwerky film can't fault. Worth the watch

Watched last as I had nothing else to do what being my birthday and I was feeling rather low as well. Anyway I've never seen this film before I knew about it back on the days of VHS but never got round to seeing the film till now on Amazon prime. I'm glad I did finally simple plot security robots go haywire killing off anyone who trespassers in the shopping mall there are some good kills not great acting Kelli Maloney from night of the comet is the standout out of the acting. wish there was mote dick miller great actor but has one scene in the movie. Liked the design of the robots very 80s. Anyway not a bad movie just wished I had seen the movie alot sooner
