A worthy adaptation of an excellent comic
A really enjoyable, filthy, dark and funny series. Some excellent portrayals of really twisted characters and a great real world take on what would happen if superheroes were real. A number of liberties were taken (Hughie not being Scottish for one, Karl Urban's accent for another) but all in all a really brilliant TV show that ended too soon, but clearly has so much more to come.

One of my new favourites. I loved this from start to finish. Lots of "tear jerker" moments. Loved the doomed romance story line. Everyone deserves love even if you know the risks. Beautiful romance. They won't let their illness stand in the way of their love. Risking everything to save her life as well had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see it they both survived.

"For years I regarded Alf Sjöberg as the best director ever on the basis of this film. A stunning adaptation of a short play that is all set in a kitchen. Quite amazing, the way Sjöberg opens out and strengthens all the tensions and relationships in the story. Superb visuals. I’d love to see his Barabbas . . . a film of his I’ve never been able to track down, even when I went to Stockholm."

"A fantastic adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s captivating Ripley books, with the action shifting to New York City and Hamburg (both filmed beautifully by Repo Man’s Robby Müller). Come for the seventies-noir setting, the art-world intrigue, the cameos from the likes of Nicholas Ray; stay for the entertaining Wenders interviews on the Criterion edition, in which he regales us with how he managed to tame both Dennis Hopper and the late, great Bruno Ganz."

One of my favourite Alice in Wonderland telling.

I love the concept of this series. When I first read it, I had just watched Tim Burtons adaptation and in the same way, I was enthralled! Jace creates such a fantastical world where, despite the horrific murders, I want to be there along with the characters! Just take my word for it, the rest of the series just gets better and better too!

A stylish court room thriller, of which there haven't been enough good ones around for a long while. It does feel like a John Grisham adaptation, which is a big compliment. Although with some humour along the way. A good modern feel cast of stars handle it well and there are some nice twists along the way. If you like the more like this films, then snap this up quick!
