Superb RPG
Contains spoilers, click to show
If you want to imagine this game think assassins creed odyssey but 20 years ago. This game starts out as a simple rpg with great graphics and good game mechanics. It develops into a great adventure that will keep you busy for hours. From ancient greece, egypt, babylon and the ancient east there are lots of adventures. The equipment you can collect is amazing too and what i found different about this game is that the first time you go through it you start on normal level and each subsequent play after completing this level, leads to legendary and epic mission that increase the weapons and items that you can collect. Completing shards to enhance your equipment also keeps you looking in every chest and box. The legendary bosses are a trial and very entertaining at the same time. The bull of Crete, Medusa the gorgon and lots more to keep you playing for hours. The main bosses are telkines and these will test both your skill and magic abilities. All in all an excellent early rpg :)

Kristy H (1252 KP) rated Pip Bartlett's Guide to Unicorn Training in Books
Mar 11, 2021
This is the second book in the amazing Pip Bartlett series. This time, Pip and her best friend, Tomas, find themselves at a magical creature show, which includes an unicorn exhibition. And things are personal, as one of the unicorns being shown is their beloved Regent Maximus, who is, of course, terrified of performing.
I've been reading these stories to my daughters, eight-year-old twins, and they are some of our all-time favorites. They love spunky Pip, who can talk to magical creatures; Tomas, who is allergic to all magical creatures; Pip's aunt and cousin; and all the adventures they go on. Every book has illustrations from Jeffrey Higgleston's Guide to Magical Creatures--Pip's bible, so to speak, which she adds to every time she encounters a new creature. They love the pictures and all the amazing imaginary creatures--even creating their own entries. I enjoy how the book brings out their creativity and that it's one that holds all of our attention. The stories are sweet and funny, focusing on family and friendship, but with lots of fascinating creatures and escapades too. What's not to love?

Eleanor Luhar (47 KP) rated Adventure Time Vol. 4 in Books
Jun 24, 2019
Number four in this colourful series! Another fun, exciting adventure with our favourite characters. It includes issues 15 to 19 of the comic.
The first adventure Finn and Jake embark on is the retrieval of their voices after a princess tea party is crashed by the mischievous Magic Man. The princesses all get together, including Bubblegum and LSP (of course), to assist Finn and Jake.
After that, the boys find themselves in the Ice King's hidden (and forgotten) dungeon. They want the treasure at the other end, but that requires defeating several monstrous bosses first...
The adventures are, as always, great fun. The graphics are awesome and the dialogue is hilarious. This volume teaches us a lot about the Ice King's past, too, and is actually quite emotionally deep at times.
I really enjoyed this! A light-hearted, funny read (although it had it's more emotional moments). I found myself actually sympathising with the Ice King, and really wanting to know more about his past. And I loved the cover gallery, as always! There are some amazing pieces in here!
Easily 4 stars for this volume, at least.

Sammeh Lowry (15 KP) rated Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3) in Books

I am so sad I have finished these books,I want more adventures from them all! Yet again this was an amazing summer read, just a breezy read that tugs at my heartstrings.
This book has some of the best sex scenes I have ever read, there I said it.
I love the whole oh well nothing can go wrong here Isla finally has Josh who she has wanted FOREVER but wait oh...oh...OH....but how?! They can go back right I mean....OH...OH Isla you cow....no wait poor Isla I'm sorry...oh dear. This is just a few things my mind was screaming throughout this book. I found the lead up to the main part of the book a little slow, but keep with it and when you get there you will be wishing to get back to the happy bits!
This book doesn't just focus on Isla and Josh but her and her best friend Kurt, and her relationship with her younger sister Hattie. Of course some well known faces pop up which made me go all EEEEEK! and OOOOH! and AWWWHS! I just can't believe I have finished them I am absolutely gutted!

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Meet Me In San Francisco (Girls' Weekend Away) in Books

I liked the group of friends and their adventure to San Francisco. I too, explored the city, when I went there a few years ago and it reminded me of a lot of what I got up to down at Fisherman's Wharf. I also liked Landon and his wanting to help Celia however he could in relationship to her ex and money wise and how you could see how much he really liked/loved her.
It was just a little too much chick-lit--focusing a lot more on the friends and their relationship than her romance with Landon--for my liking. Not that I didn't enjoy what they got up to, and her adventures with Landon, of course, but I like my books to concentrate more on the romance than anything else.
I wish I'd read the first book in the series so I could see Bonni and Quinn's romance and how Landon's and Celia's romance started. I'm sure that things will be continued in the next book with these two and figuring out what's going to happen with her ex-husband but I'm not sure if I'll continue the series at this point.
