Does anybody have any advice or opinions on how to stop comfort / emotional eating?

I really struggle when I get stressed or sad or miserable and end up eating constantly or just eating unhealthy junk food or snacks all the time. I've managed to lose a bit of weight over Jan and Feb which I'm so happy about, but my weight loss has stalled recently because I'm going back to my old comfort eating ways. And living on my own, I can get away with doing whatever I want. I've still got a bit of weight to lose so really want to get out of this comfort eating habit!

Thanks guys ? I was watching a show on TV last night about junk food etc & it said eating too much actually makes you feel miserable. Another reason to stay away from it!

@Sarah I know I get up at 6 for work and always eat breakfast then but my husbands just been given the delay advice, it might work though as I’m always really hungry when I get in from work and snack like crazy!! Can’t wait to hear about your success (:

What a great book! I highly recommend it to people who struggle with anxiety and worry. I gave this book such a high rating as I was able to relate to it and I very much took to the dry, sarcastic humour of the author, I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions. I liked the activities that were included so you could turn the advice into something more practical to see if it works for you. The 'Hammock Time' was also very good I thought, it allowed self reflection at the end of each chapter. Overall, I was very impressed with this book.
