Great rock album, featuring some of the biggest driving anthems. Strong guitar work as expected.

Fairly enjoyable soul album, including a song that made me think of my middle child - Talkin Loud and Sayin Nothing.

Rolling Stone's 314th greatest album of all time
Brilliant R&B album by the star of the Fugees. Doo Wop is a stone cold belter of a song.

Rolling Stone's 166th greatest album of all time
Much more piano-led album from Costello, continuing a move away from the faster, poppier punk to soundtrack-worthy ballads.

Long collection of Kinks songs. You can tell they had fun recording the album but not the most engaging listen.

Great double-album featuring some of Motown's biggest hits. Diana Ross' voice is superb throughout.

Loved this album great thrashy punk with excellent bass lines. I can tell a big influence on the likes of The Rapture and Radio 4, proper stomping drums and angry vocals. Great album, like a less boring version of The Jam.

Rolling Stone's 21st greatest album of all time
Great early rock and roll album by one of the greats. Roll Over Beethoven, Back in the USA, Brown Eyed Handsome Man and of course Johnny B Goode are the particular standouts, but the whole album is a great listen.

Superb 90s indie album, featuring some all-time belters. As an album as a whole, it has a few songs that don't match the quality of the rest, but they don't detract from the joy of the rest too much.
