"I’ve loved him since his mixtapes and I love his first album Dr. Lecter. That album has just the best hip-hop beats, but there’s something about his new album that is really fresh. That song 'Baby Blue,' it’s a little more produced and less ‘90s-esque. I don’t know if it’s better because I love it all, but it is definitely a new step—he’s definitely artistically evolving."

I honestly only listened to this album because one of my friends got us tickets from her friend that was in the string trio, performing with Panic!. The last time I had listened to Panic! was when Pretty Odd came out.
All of the songs on this album are solid, catchy, and, for the most part, feel good. Obviously, hearing the album live was, of course, superior to the recorded version.

Rolling Stone's 356th greatest album of all time
A better album than the previous Randy Newman one I listened to. This is much more of an album in its own right and less of a Toy Story soundtrack demo. Includes his interpretation of "Mama Told Me Not to Come" - while not the original version, he wrote it. A very different version than that better known and made famous by Tom Jones.

For me this was where Bowie diverged from what I would choose to listen to. Brian Eno's touch is all over this ambient album and for the majority it really is more like a sci-fi incidental soundtrack rather than an album in its own right. Sound and Vision aside, there is nothing here I would want to listen to again.

This was a much more enjoyable album than @Mule Variations by Tom Waits , and while I still dislike his voice, it is much more fitting with this older material. No stand-out tracks for me but a good blues album. The first few songs are like a really badly judged audition for a Disney villain, but after that it gets better.
