"Blade Runner goes down as one of my favorite movies and I have to watch it every opportunity that I get to watch it; and it seems to me that every single time I watch it, I discover something that I never knew was there. I mean, the fact that that movie was close to 30 years ago, it’s absolutely astounding. I actually watched it recently again and — you look at it now and it’s just — the set design and the way that thing is shot, it feels… it’s absolutely amazing. You can’t say that of some movies. Like, if you go back and watch Alien — the first Alien — it looks dated now. It really does, because of how much technology is moving forward and the kinds of things that are being done onscreen because of CGI. But if you go back and watch Blade Runner, it’s incredible how well it’s held up over time. It’s amazing."

It's early nineteenth century and you have an unusual case that Scotland Yard is just not getting anywhere with. So who are you going to call!? Sherlock Holmes. What? No. Boswell and Flynn! I love when oddball characters who in theory should never work blend so well together and have crazy adventures. A suicidal alien, a hooker, and a cowboy there is a bad joke somewhere in that but, I'll leave it be.

Omnibus edition containing two spin-off novels from Fox's Alien franchise: Earth Hive, and Nightmare Asylum.

Reading these, I kinda get the impression they were released before Ali3n - definitely before Resurrection - as they're very much modeled on Aliens (that's the second one: the one with the 'S'). While, for spin-off novels, they're actually not that bad, they're also not going to win any awards for literature, or set the world on fire!

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Eeeeeeh!

Okay, sorry, but I never thought my wish would be granted for this book and I'm so thrilled I got to read it!

Alien is one of my all-time favorite movies and this book is an absolute treat to read.

It's a great behind the scenes look with wonderful pictures and illustrations!
