Frozen II is a genuinely fantastic sequel that build on the original in every way.

It's feels more mature for a start. It's still a magical, kid friendly, animated adventure for sure, but the film manages to touch upon subjects such as death, loss, depression, how it's ok to feel angry, and all without veering too far away from a family feature.

The more mature tone comes with more mature animation - and it's really something. The animation is pretty much flawless. The contrasting colour pallets - the icy cold blues and white of Arendelle, to the autumnal greens and oranges of the forest - are all pleasing to look at.
I'm not one for musicals, and I wasn't keen on the songs from the original, but the music in Frozen II is way more tolerable. Well written, and sometimes epic, and that Lost in the Woods song is a banger - the fact that Weezer did a recording of it just earns the movie bonus points in my eyes.

The plot is easy to follow, whilst offering a twist here and there, but the overall message is once again, the importance of family, and the importance of writing wrongs from the last. Interestingly, there is no villain in Frozen II. The focus is purely on the good guys trying to make the world a better place for everyone. It's all rather wholesome.
The characters are all great in their own ways, and the creature designs are fantastic.

I have nothing bad to say about Frozen II. It's a damn solid sequel that easily surpasses the first film. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and listen to Weezer all night.

I've never really gone in for animation much, some people might find that hard to believe given the calibre of films that have been made over the years. So after everyone raved over this it was the glimpse of the army of yellow minions that first drew me in.

There are enough voice talents on show here to make this a must see film, Steve Carell, Jason Segel and Russell Brand all do a brilliant job of taking the two biggest villains in the world and putting them on a collision course with each other.

Gru (Carell) regards himself as the world’s greatest supervillain, but when he meets his match in the form of the overly exuberant Vector (Segel), Gru needs a new plan that will put him back on top of the baddie elite. The plan being to steal the moon, with the help of his band of very funny, and at times show stealing minions he also needs to enlist the help of three small orphans whom he dislikes the minute he sets eyes on them.

However, as with most animation the film has heart warming moments that will leave you feeling soft inside, and its a feeling that only this genre can muster up. The stand out oddly for me was Gru’s aging side kick Dr. Nefario (Brand) whose dry wit was right up my street, and made for a few decent laughs. It’s predictable but then what animated film isn’t, this one is yet again for adults and kids a like and both will enjoy it in their own special way.

Impossible not to love Baymax
There are way too many animated films released every year, and the majority of them are pretty awful. Despite Big Hero 6 being Disney, the trailer didn't really appeal. However after watching it, it's probably one of the best animated films I've seen in the past few years.

The character of Baymax is the real reason why this film excels. He's cuddly, adorable and so funny and matter of fact. Although the rest of the characters are likeable enough, it's really Baymax that makes this film. The plot is interesting and a slightly different take on the usual Disney story of loss and grief, and the animation is unsurprisingly top notch. Its also great to see (hear) Alan Tudyk as usual.

I love drunk/low battery Baymax:

Humorous And Absolutely Wonderful
This is not for the faint of heart, this dark humor takes everything to a whole new level, I have never seen something that I've taken to so quickly and loved so much. The humor is darker than dark and hilarious all the same. If you dont take to it from the very first episode then maybe it's not the show for you and maybe we can't be friends. This show holds no boundaries or limits on the lengths they will take to make you laugh. It's absolutely beautiful and you will never find another show like it. Highly recommended to anyone who can appreciate the very real and dark humor this show has to offer.
