"Sure to be a classic. A present-day venture into the surrealist novel. It’s the best description of the art world ever and the existential void every artist faces in an art practice."

The final product is a shaky, but still solid, horror film that is able to make a statement about the art world, even if we don't necessarily buy into it.

"Hail the queen. Nobody used adjectives better, and nobody else quite showed how to make art out of writing about art quite as accessibly, or hilariously. Her ideas about the movies she saw made me understand the way the world is. I can't think of a better writer than Pauline Kael."

"Kippenberger was kind of a bitch, but he was a hard working bitch. Written lovingly by his sister, this biography is a perfect introduction to a time when bad boys ruled the art world."

This book wasn't what I thought. I bought it thinking it talked more about the paintings that were featured in it. That wasn't what it was at all. It was more of a condensed biography of Dali's life. It was an interesting read mostly because Dali was a fascinating character in the art world & the world in general.
