Awesome casting all around.

This is a different take on film that I don't think I've ever seen before. Taking a real life series of events and modifying it (very dramatically) to fit the narrative intended by the film makers. If ever there were a candidate for a job well done in that category, this would definitely be it.

Brad Pitt completely steals the spotlight (shared by Margot, of course) from Leo in this instant classic. Because the source material is SO heavily modified the viewer has genuinely no idea what to expect around every turn. Having that feeling while watching a movie unfold that you are familiar with the actual story it is based on was a bit of a surreal experience. But enjoyable nionetheless,

"I've liked this band for a long time, and I think this is the best work. I love the sound, the programming he does, the synths he uses, but this record has great songs, he was able to craft these complete songs. The structures of them are really good, and the girl who sings on it, her voice is superb. The production is so big, and reminiscent of 80s music, so it is nostalgic for me, it takes me back to my youth. For just one dude to be making this it's pretty awesome. I've always been a fan of shoegaze, and when I first heard M83 I took it to my friends and said 'you've got to hear this, it's an electronic shoegaze band'."

"I just had such a love affair with Indiana Jones when I was a little kid. I used to dress up like Indiana Jones and my mom would hide jewels in the house. [Laughs.] I loved Connery. He’s so good. It’s kinda hard to have such an established character and then to come in on the last one and play his dad. Also, I just loved the “cup of the carpenter” and him trying to find which cup it was. And I loved all the booby traps. I’d never seen Star Wars or Star Trek or all that stuff — and I was never really into comic books — so for me, Indiana Jones was really my only hero as a kid. He was awesome."

"I grew up watching western films, and for someone to slow down the pacing to a sort of a western drama — I just thought was so incredibly well done. The acting in it was absolutely phenomenal. The cinematography of it was beautiful. The tone, the production — just everything about it. Go down the list of everything about all the departments of a film and I feel like everybody nailed it on that one — just knocked it out of the park. It’s just such a beautiful piece of film to watch. Sometimes I like to just play it in the background with the volume off — just to be looking at the imagery of it. Oh, man. Watch it with the lights off. It’s awesome."

"Robert Plant has a horrible attempt at a wail at the beginning. He doesn’t get anywhere near it, but it’s still awesome. In a way, live stuff is about the mistakes. You don’t want a note-perfect recital of a song, you want a fucked up, exciting, bum notes everywhere, people falling off their stools version of it. And I think Led Zeppelin are brilliant at that kind of stuff. Everything on this is completely real and it sounds like they’re really trying and not quite getting there – and that’s the thrill. That’s what it’s all about. The white knuckle ride. We didn’t sign up for the teacup ride. It’s real life – there’s a human element to it, and you really get that on Led Zeppelin recordings."
