"This film, along with Expresso Bongo, for good or bad, helped shape my life into what it became. At the time I had no idea of the significance of it being filmed in the Brill Building. Suddenly, thanks to Sidney Falco, it was okay to hustle, it was okay to try and find a way out."

Cheering for Gin seems to be a regular occurrence for me with this series and this was certainly no different, either with the bad guy or with the reappearance of one Donovan Caine--total arse!

Go Gin, go Gin, go Gin.

That last bit with Donovan was so good!

Can't wait to read more of the series.

"Juliet of the Spirits was something I also saw at a young age. It spooked me, but also kind of turned me on, and I found it thrilling and psychedelic and colorful, and it had an enormous impact on my childhood because I would have bad dreams about it. That’s also the case with The Wizard of Oz."

Had this bad boy arrive on Monday. Well happy can choose to watch with international or American dubbing. Having grown up with international dubbing on VHS and DVD then the steel tin blu ray was American with different dialogue I just couldn't watch it without getting annoyed. Looks amazing in 4k and been told fully uncut.

2018 | Biography, History

"How Yorgos Lanthimos sneaked Olivier Messiaen and Luc Ferrari into an Oscar-winning film is one of modern cinema’s greatest mysteries. Mr. Lanthimos doesn’t get enough credit for his soundtracks, which often work brilliantly counter to the proceedings in his films. The use of music in “The Favourite” deserves a whole essay in itself. The acting isn’t bad, either."
