You are correct. One of the major characters from the book was totally written out of the movie. Sad because that character went on to be in a long series of books that all would have made great movies.

This book was so powerful and sad. I would recommend it to anyone even if you aren't a book lover. It's such an insight to what really went on at Auschwitz as it is based on a true story.

I was surprised by this, it's quite unique. A sort of Horror, Mystery, Drama based on a book. It's got a good cast and it will definitely hold your interest.
