I know I recently did a review for another one of Anderson’s novel, but I was able to download this for free and it was a quick read.

I still don’t know how I feel about this novel. I felt like the sex scenes in Claimed were much hotter, but Masks didn’t lack heat. However, she jumped into bed with him so quickly that it was mind-boggling. I am not saying anything against anonymous sex, but it seemed out of character for her. The author spends so many pages enforcing what a mouse she was, and then she has sex with him almost immediately. Honestly, I skipped most of the beginning because it was just Zoe and Chloe interacting, and it wasn’t very interesting, nor progressive to the storyline.

The synopsis make the novel out to be BDSM erotica, but the closest it comes to BDSM is he ties her to a St Andrew’s Cross (only to immediately untie her) and leather everywhere. I am not saying it shouldn’t be classified as BDSM. Just don’t expect any more than some light bondage.

Not to mention I was annoyed with Zoe. She is a horrible sister and I would furious with her.

All in all, it wasn’t terrible. It came nowhere near the level that Claimed was. Like I said, it was a quick read with a realistic ending that I appreciated.

I'm still kinda undecided on how to rate this because I really, really, really liked it. 4 star? 5 star? Ugh!

It was a sweet romance with some bdsm elements--which I'm not always a fan of--but it was done in a way that made me want to keep reading and in the end I fell for both Sev and Demetrie.

They were both damaged in different ways and the more I learnt about them the more I wanted to wrap them in a big hug.

Things started off a little shaky between them but by the end I was almost crying thinking of what might or might not happen between them. It was such a sweet story with lots of these:

If you like books a little dystopian-y and/or bdsm/erotica-y then you should really like this! There was even a slight threesome in there for fans of that too :)

"All Soul's Night is a mixed bag of steam and spice! Every story is linked to the others by the Venetian Masked Ball on All Soul's Night, and some characters have cameos in either the story before or after, which gave it a great feeling of continuity."

All Souls’ Night: A Midnight Doms Anthology - @Archaeolibrary, #BDSM, #Paranormal, #Erotica, #Romance, 4 out of 5 (very good)

Pretty damn powerful

A story of so many emotions, I couldn't put it down! My heart broke a little for these amazing men, the trials they go through, the raw pain, love and passion.
Will and Mike fight for each other through the fallout of a military attack, memory loss and injury.

Definitely an adult read, with sex, bdsm, mental anguish/ptsd and descriptions of violent acts. Brilliantly told in a way that keeps you hooked.

ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A boss romance involving BDSM. Sounds like the perfect recipe right? I thought so too, but I wasn’t 100% happy with this novel. On one hand, the erotic scenes were as graphic as they were hot. The chemistry between the leads was undeniable.

The being said, I wanted to punch the heroine in the face on multiple occasions. Okay, I know that is a bit extreme. Overreactions aside, she could be pretty obnoxious. I understand that she is supposed to have the “PTSD from past abuse” back story but she over the top with it. Even after the long extensive conversations with her best friend about the BDSM community, she still can’t separate from abuse. Even after going to the club and seeing consenting couples enjoying themselves. She still can’t separate it from abuse. I had to put the book down multiple times because she was so annoying.

If that doesn’t bother you, or you can get past that aspect, the story is pretty enjoyable.
