"Bob Fosse is one of my favorite choreographers. This book is a dark and fascinating biography of the man who gave us Cabaret, Sweet Charity, and Chicago, among others."

A fictional biography of Mark and his relationship with Peter. Unfortunately, it reads more like a biography of Peter, and much of Mark's life is whitewashed. Furthermore, the characters going from modern English to New King James to quote scripture (much less how much scripture is quoted) makes this novel laughable.

"Kippenberger was kind of a bitch, but he was a hard working bitch. Written lovingly by his sister, this biography is a perfect introduction to a time when bad boys ruled the art world."

"This definitive biography of the last Tsar and Tsarina of Russia is superbly written and totally captivating. Frankly, it transformed me into a pre-revolution Russophile; I can’t read enough about this fascinating era that shook the world."

"A biography of the great doctor, teacher and humanitarian, Paul Farmer. In the Artibonite plain in rural Haiti, he walks hundreds of miles, healing the sick and delivering AIDS medication with a selfless determination that is awe-inspiring."

"Please let all Creationists read this book! Koestler’s biography of a pre-Darwin evolutionist is a fascinating and riveting read. And don’t let the title scare you; the book is eminently accessible (or I wouldn’t have survived beyond page two)."

This was a very quick listen that was quite different from what I expected. Much less a biography and more of a scatter of thoughts. I still enjoyed this, but wasn't quiet what I was looking for when I picked the book up.

"The Man Who Recorded the World is a biography of Alan Lomax, who's the folklorist in the United States who was the first person to record people like Leadbelly and various other blues artists. He travelled around the South in the Forties with a wax cylinder machine to record these artists who no-one had ever recorded before. It's amazing to read as a producer and engineer, but also as someone who travels a lot and is exposed to a lot of different music. It's by John Szwed, who also did a biography of Miles Davis."

So much more than a biography (0 more)
Who is HE?
I don't want to give anything away. This is a deeply moving portrait of one half of a comedy duo and one of the most heartbreaking accounts of an inner human landscape I have read.
