Another amazing episode of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Although this isn't a direct story relating to one of the brothers themselves, I found the characters just as enticing and the story planned well. A must read for any Ward fan!

Love love love Black Dagger brotherhood
For me the Black Dagger brotherhood books have literally saved my life because I read all of them and during the pandemic and the quarantine and the lockdowns these books have kept me sane a. J r ward has the unique ability to get into her characters heads and that's what makes her book so good she flushes out the characters and weighs a lot of authors don't and I just love her

Vampire
This is the first in a long line of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. This book follows Wrath and Beth. Beth is part vampire but doesn't know it. Much more happens in this fresh look on vampires. I have binge listened to the first eight books in this series. They are great.

I really enjoyed this book. I love the "Black Dagger Brotherhood" series so I thought that I would give this series a try.

The beginning of the book was quite slow but it picked up pace after the first few chapters. I loved how she had characters from BDB in this book, they are definitely not main characters but I loved how it combined both series. It really made me smile!

I will definitely continue on in this series but I'm not expecting to love it as much as the BDB. All in all, this was a great book!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There exists a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing more than Wrath, the leader of The Black Dagger Brotherhood.

The only purebred vampire left on earth, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But, when one of his most trusted fighters is killed-leaving his half-breed daughter unaware of his existence or her fate-Wrath must usher her into the world of the undead-a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams.

This is my first reread and I loved it more the second time round!! This series definitely need a second round!

Rhage and Mary's story!!
Rhage is different from the other brothers, also known as "Hollywood" for his good looks, but his interest is mostly in killing members of the Lessening Society and being with his brothers.
JR Ward has a way of making you fall in love with each character (one at a time) and feeling a part of their story as it develops. Yes this could be considered a romance to some extent but that isn't what this really is in my opinion. The Black Dagger Brotherhood series is a highly addictive series of books with Vampires, action, enemies and the love interest although engaging is a side line to the main story. If you enjoy Vampire books then these are a must read!

I'm looking forward to finding more out about these characters was great to see Lassiter make an appearance too! Thor is back!!! This is a very good series I do prefer her Bourbon Kings!
