I have to admit, I didn't really know what to expect from this film, I’d seen the trailer once but that was all, but I was bored and it was the only film I could get to on time so I’m happy to say that I really enjoyed this. The film runs at quite a fast pace with building tensions and emotional family scenes. The plot isn't overly complicated but is interesting enough to keep you entertained. The Informer also doesn't rely on lots of blood and gore. The only real downside was, due to the pacing, it's some times hard to keep track of how long something g has taken, for example I found it hard to tell how long the events in prison had taken.

Sarah (7799 KP) rated The Lost Boys (1987) in Movies

It's undeniably 80s, but that's part of it's charm. It's atmospheric with a great soundtrack and a rather impressive cast. Vampires have been done to death over the past however many decades but The Lost Boys really brings a fun yet still fairly scary take on them - there's loads of dark humour in this and yet some pretty creepy scenes too and some twists and turns. It moves at a steady pace without ever dragging, and the final act is an aamzing spectacle- the blood, gore and outlandish deaths are both genius and wickedly funny. My only criticism would be that there are a few cliched and cringey moments, but fortunately these are few and far between and overall this is a hugely enjoyable and entertaining vampire film. Very deserving of being a cult classic.

Devi ( Matefinder book 2)
By Leia Stone
When Aurora found out that the vampires were after her blood to procreate, she thought she knew her mission. Take out the vampires and live happily ever after with Kai and their pack. But when the witches discover something about her, everything changes. Maybe Aurora doesn’t have as much control over her fate as she thought and sometimes allies become enemies. Aurora and Kai must defy all odds if their future is to end in happiness.
This is the second in this series and I loved it more than the first. We catch up with Aurora and Kai and get to see them married and mated fully despite everyone trying to capture or kill her. Leia writes a very easy to follow story as well as building her world and these characters up. They all have more depth than the first book. Aurora also goes on a spiritual trip of self discovery. Also the wolves are out of the closet so it will be interesting to see how the world responds!

Erika (17789 KP) rated True Blood - Season 3 in TV
Sep 5, 2020 (Updated Sep 5, 2020)
The first few scenes take care of the last season's cliffhanger, showing who kidnapped Bill. It's not really clear as to why he was kidnapped at first, but we get an introduction into the world of Vampire Kings and Queens of the states.
I really don't care about Tara, I find her completely annoying. Eggs bites, accidentally shot by Jason, and the subsequent coverup as Andy takes responsibility. Hey, it's just a cop killing a dude. Tara, of course, goes off the deep end, she is the most annoying, unstable character in the entire series.
The most interesting part of this season was learning more about Eric.
We also FINALLY know what Suki is, to which her response is: How f-cking lame. I agree Sookie.
Again, another cliffhanger, but that's the MO. I think the only reason I moved onto the 4th season was to figure out where Sookie actually went. Luckily, the 4th season is much better.

Lyndsey Gollogly (2893 KP) rated The Cellar (Beast House Chronicles #1) in Books

Ok so I’m not sure about this at all!! The last book I read of laymon I really enjoyed but this one was hard to stomach! The character of Roy made my stomach turn and I find his exploits were way to graphic for me! So why didn’t I just stop there? Honestly I’m not entirely sure! I was compelled to keep reading and in all honesty what little we got about the beast and the crazy windowless house was kinda cool and had so much potential. Yet I find myself not wanting to ever pick this book up again! However I do want to continue with the series see where it goes. So I think it will take some time to read the second one although it’s in front of me.
