I'm not normally a fan of reading a series back to back as i get a little bored of the same characters but this series has been the exception to that rule...at least up until this book. i struggled to get into this one. It could have been the above mentioned thing or it could have been the fact that after four books Heller and Tilly are actually together (kind of) and the thrill of the will they/won't they thing they had going on has now disappeared.
Don't get me wrong, i still really like this series and will be continuing it at some point but not quite yet. Maybe when book 7 gets released?

It's been a long time since I read a series of books where every book has been consistently as good as the last, but this series by Jim Butcher is putting that to right.
This is the eight book in the series and, normally, by this time I'd be beginning to get a little bit too used to the characters: a little bit washed up, if you will, by the books. This one bucks that trend as well as seeing the return of the Carpenters, and providing further ammunition and open plot lines for subsequent books (even if Waldo Butters isn't really in this one). Well worth a read, but read the earlier books first!

This the best series I have read. Though I have read other series. I love this book because it is just different and I love that it is catching and keeps me to be surprised. I like getting to know each person in the book and in detail. It also keeps me wanting more and making me wait for the next book for more.
The author is great in this. You learn new secret and new storylines that are dealt with. We find out if Jacob can free himself of his past along with Ronda. Ronda learn that her gift from god and what do with it or at least some of it. Will Ronda and Jacob be together in future. You will need to read it to find out for yourselves.
Do they learn what kind of relationships they each want. Samuel, Jacob and Ronda all need to figure it all out. I wonder where each one will go and who will choose who or what path they decide to take. If you have not read this series. I would recommend it that you do. The series starts with the book "A Season for Tending".

This book is a fantastic story. I was hooked from the first page. This book has both romance and suspense mixed with some very hot steamy scenes, make this book a definite page turner. the characters were well written and really believable. the ending omg !!! what a cliff hanger, really wanted to read the others in the series but the prices to much, sorry.

This is the second book in this series by this author. Amazing well written characters you just fall in love with as you read. This book is packed full with action, suspense and passion. This is a classic love story with added extras such as betrayal and feud. I can't wait to read more from this amazing author.

Normally, I like to read a book before I see a movie, but this book wasn't available from the library prior to me seeing the movie. Well, luckily, it's completely different. I'm not going to compare them at all.
This was a quick read. The first person narrative worked well with the story. The story was interesting and well paced. I'll definitely read the next book in the series.

Much much more than a shifter romance
This book is a more indeapth shifter book i have read. In this its a battle between good and evil with most shifters the wolfen, felen and bearen being protectors to the humans that don't even know about them.
This is a great start to the series with each book being dedicated to one of the members of the police force.
