I liked this story, not as much as [b:Heist Society|6574102|Heist Society (Heist Society, #1)|Ally Carter|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1359254479s/6574102.jpg|6767235] though. It seemed slower moving and I wasn't as into it as I thought I might have been.

I struggled from the beginning with this. It wasn't the smoothest read and I didn't understand the relationship she had going with Clay, it was so dysfunctional. Then there was the length of the book; info dump occasionally, unnecessary bits that I skipped all together and just boredom in places.

I'm not going to lie. I skipped a majority of this book and I couldn't bring myself to read Apollyon. I wanted to know how things would end, but I couldn't bring myself to read the last 2 books. I don't think it's Jennifer as an author, because I loved her Lux series, this one just wasn't for me.

I enjoyed this, it was different in many ways. I just wish there'd been a bit more romance. I know there were lots of kisses but I kinda wanted more. I'm happy they got a happy for now ending, so I'm quite content to wait for a while before getting and reading the second book in the series.
