I have watched this anime on Netflix a few times and now own the box set on DVD. It has made me laugh, cry, root for a mass murderer (rest in peace Barry the Chopper) and yell "WHAT THE F***!!"

The two most heart wrenching moments in this series for me is Ed screaming for Al to come back and sacrificing a limb to get his baby brothers soul back and the moment the little girl turns into a chimera. "Daddy play?" Always makes me tear up.

In the end Ed and Al get their happy ending, with Ed and Winry getting married and having kids. It's a true testament as tongow much Ed loves Al by the fact he gave up his alchemy to save his brother.

Happy endings might seem a tad cliche but if any characters in any universe deserved it, it was the Elric brothers

Would like to see a spin off tho with Roy mustang and his crew!!!

I’m always a little leery of the routine critical construction “Without X, there would be no Y.” Surely Y would have come along; his or her work might have been a bit different, but he or she would have come along. But in the case of Cassavetes, it is difficult not to think of a whole talkative, financially strapped mob of filmmakers, some brilliant, some not so much, who very well might not have come along if he hadn’t, you know, blazed the path. Still, you don’t watch a Cassavetes film for its historical significance. These films are alive. How very well I remember my first, A Woman Under the Influence. I probably went in because I was a Columbo fan. Not only was I enthralled by a whole new Peter Falk; Gena Rowlands simply blew . . . me . . . away."

99p for books 1-6? YES, PLEASE! I loved the first two so I'm assuming I'll love the rest, too. Can't wait to get back to Zeth 😃

Okay.

So I've had this on the go for months now, the first few I read like they were nothing and then I started to lose interest. The story wasn't so much about Sloane and Zeth anymore and I just couldn't get into them. I left the box set alone and read other books between stories, sometimes between chapters, because it just wasn't doing anything for me anymore.

And finally I've just given up on any will to read the last part of this six-part series. I can't say I'm at all interested in them beating Charlie.

The fifth book wasn't a total let down for me, what with Zeth actually (finally) expressing a few feelings in words to Sloane but I think if it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't have finished that one either.

"Iggy's probably my favourite singer and I was thinking about choosing one of his solo records, but when you see my next one you'll probably figure out why I didn't choose that. Again, what can you say about Fun House? It's just so primal, a rock & roll record, and I can't think of anything like it. From the box set you can tell that it didn't just appear, they worked incredibly hard to get it that good, take after take after take. It's just amazing, totally powerful. To be able to capture something that probably was more of a live experience and make it sound like they're in the room with you… one of my neighbours has got a ludicrous stereo, and we'll just listen to Fun House, insanely drunk, on his stereo. It's almost like you're there, melting your face. It was a fun night… you should come round, it happens most Fridays. That's how countryside life in Scotland goes."
