Family friendly 2004 treasure hunt film, in which Nicolas Cage dials back his usual manic energy to play the lead character who - for plot reasons - has to steal the Declaration of Independence (yes, *that* Declaration of Independence) in order to stop the (British, of course) villain of the piece - as portrayed by Sean Bean - from doing so and then destroying that artifact.

As such, heavily aimed at the American audience rather than more international fare, coming across (to my UK eyes, at least) as very much an American attempt to set up a new Indiana Jones series. Oh, and the whole plot point of something being on the back of the Declaration? Remind you much of The Da Vinci code, and something on the back of the Mona Lisa ...?

Having said that, it's polished enough to not be the worst way of spending about 2 hours or so in front of the box.

The fifth episode in the TV adaptations of the novels by Bernard Cornwell (which are well worth a read), based on the book of the same name.

I say 'based on' as, because while the main thrust of the storyline is the same, the TV movie of necessity abbreviates the novel somewhat: most noticeably (I felt) watering down quite substantially the role of El Matarife in the proceedings.

As this starts, Sharpe is still mourning the death of his wife Teresa, while Napoleon - in his first appearance in the series - is in retreat from Russia, and with Major Pierre Ducos hatching a plan to drive a wedge between the Spanish and British allies while also getting his revenge on Sharpe by provoking a duel between Sharpe and a Spanish nobleman who he (Ducos) later murders, with Sharpe then taking the rap for said murder (until he is later able to prove his innocence).

Morbius, the living vampire.

What can I say, other than it is getting terrible reviews?

Starring Jared Leto and Matt Smith, you think the former would have learned from his abysmal Suicide Squad role, with the latter not seeming to have much luck at all with his Hollywood choices despite starring as one of the biggest names in British TV: that of The Doctor.

Basically? Leto plays a scientist suffering from a rare blood disorder who, in an attempt to cure himself by splicing Vampire Bat DNA to his own (don't think too hard about the science!) manages to turn himself into (more or less) a vampire. Anti-hero, basically.

Set in the same universe as Venom - with those films getting a wink wink nudge nudge moment - if not the main MCU this is relatively short, very murkily shot (I still haven't got a clue what went on during the final scenes) and lacks the draw of Tom Hardy completely over acting.

Death in a Northern Town : Only the dead Die Twice ( book 4)
By Peter Mckeirnon - Writer and Filmmaker
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My name is John Daint. Not too long ago something terrible happened. People began to get sick. So sick that their internal organs systematically failed and they died in the most disgusting ways imaginable. Only they didn’t stay dead and it wasn’t long before the town I once knew became the nightmare my brother had warned me about. This is my journal.

I’m sorry I couldn’t possibly give this any more than the full 5⭐️ I laughed so much and so loud good job my hubby is on nights this week! I need more! More Butty and definitely more 80sDave and his crazy shit!
This is hands down one the F and best British zombie series I’ve ever read bloody hilarious especially if your an 80s baby/child! Tina turner cigarettes it’s all I need to say 😂😂
