Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2173 KP) rated Bundle of Trouble (A Maternal Instincts Mystery, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Just as she is going into labor, Kate Connolly learns her brother-in-law, George, is missing and may be a murder victim. While trying to juggle becoming a mother, Kate also tries to learn what is really going on with George. I found the scenes between mother and baby heart warming and the plot intriguing. I didn't want to put it down, and can't wait to read the next one.

Lindsay (1717 KP) rated Brush of Angel's Wings (Heaven On Earth #2) in Books
Feb 15, 2018
This was fun to read and see that an angel speaks in this book. It there to help two people. It was sweet to see the two angels battle in the book. The funny things they do to get the two people to listen. I really like it with Jordan that he get different things.
It was kinda different for Rachel. Though Rachel need to understand what happened to her brother and learn about forgiving. You would be surprise with all the things that happen and what comes of it.

I use Facebook to keep up with friends and groups that I belong too. You can get addicted and look every few hours to see what people have posted and people run their life by it and get upset if they cannot get on. It is very useful for information but I don't like that it also reads your computer so if you are looking up something on google for example it then appears on your Facebook page as an advert. Big Brother is watching you all the time.
David McK (3377 KP) rated Roadkill (Cal Leandros, #5) in Books
Jan 30, 2019
Fifth book in the Cal Leandros series, and Rob Thurman appears to have learnt her lesson from the disappointing "Deathwish".
Again, the narrative is told in the first person but (thankfully) this time, Rob Thurman does not take it chapter about to have different characters speaking. Whereas "Deathwish" had it brother about per chapter (who 'sounded' far too alike), "Roadkill" only has Cal Leandros narrating, with his sections 'book-ended' by a chapter told by a completely different character, complete with their own distinctive voice.
This is a return to form!

MissCagey (2652 KP) rated Parkland (2013) in Movies

I found this film, despite the awfulness of what happened, quite refreshing. This was due to the fact that there were no conspiracy theories mentioned, it was a straight forward telling of the assassination and the events that followed. These events are told via people who found themselves involved through no fault of their own- the man who videoed it, the doctors who tried to save him, Lee Harvey Oswald's brother and others. There's not much action and was flat in places but it was really interesting to see the different viewpoints.

I'm a huge Ballard fan, but this novel was hard to get through. The first part indicates that it's going to be a murder-mystery, with Charles Prentice, our main character, trying to prove that his brother didn't burn 5 people to death in a house.
Around 100 pages in, it peters out into another version of @High-Rise , only not as good. Though, while this was the case, the last 3 pages were strong, and when I reached the end, I almost wanted it to go on.

Dean (6925 KP) rated Malevolent (2018) in Movies

One not to add to your list
Gave this Netflix original a go. A brother and sister team try to scam people who think they are being haunted. They take on more than they can handle at one creepy location where several girls were murdered.
Not a bad idea for a Horror film but this effort is slow, dull, low budget, without any real scares. Takes a different direction in the final act as well and left little explained really. Check out @The Gift (2000) instead.

Hang in there!
Amazing program plenty to watch, you will have to hang in there though as it seems repetitive and slightly dull around season 6 same old story same old problems but it gets good again!!!
Sad story of a girl and her brother both lost as they have just lost both there parents, to add to there pile of problems Elena fall in love with a vampire, it gets worse it gets good in this romantic drama.
If your patient enough you might enjoy all 8 seasons!
