"The film that inspired If…. I grew up in the concrete new town of East Kilbride in the early 1980s, and it was almost impossible to see such films. I had to make do with a few tantalizing stills in library books, so this and Věra Chytilová’s Daisies were at the top of the list of films I wanted to see when I moved to London. Neither film disappointed. Zéro de conduite was of course shot by Dziga Vertov’s brother Boris Kaufman, who would later shoot the next film on this list."

*Sigh* Dax, Dax, Dax...you turned me inside out a little with your internal torturing of yourself. Why couldn't you just admit how you felt?! Both of you, really! All the hurt and pain could have been avoided so easily.

I loved Declan's book and was fascinated by his brother, Dax, so of course I had to read it. I did enjoy it but like I mentioned above, it tore me apart a little emotionally. These characters got to me. They went through a lot of crap before they got to the HEA.

"Somebody's elder brother had it, I remember it was on Pye Records, and my God, that insane guitar started it all for me. But I have to be careful about sharing my tastes in music because it comes back to haunt you. I said once that I liked Van der Graaf Generator andbefore I knew it I was accused of ripping them off. Perhaps it's safer to state that I like Steeleye Span. Mind you, I shared an Irish coffee with them in Vienna once and left them with the bill, so maybe not."

I hated everything and I mean EVERYTHING about this book. The characters are annoying and not likeable all they do is complain about people making fun of them then turn around and make fun of and judge everyone else. I didn't care about the romance at all. Dimples was a shitty friend Rishi was a terrible brother and the only reason I managed to finish this and not DNF it like I 100% wanted to with in the first 20% was because I needed it for a readathon prompt.

I dunno with this one. His coldness and pill-taking for half the book annoyed me--even if it was for a good cause--but then the second half where Nila wasn't letting him hide anymore...it was kinda nice seeing more of him emotionally, learning more about his past and his closeness to his brother and sister.

But then that ending! Another cliff-hanger? Really? And this time I may have to go straight to book 5...they better be all right or I'm going to scream and swear 'til the air turns blue. :(

I've never read anything by Bernard Cornwell, but I have heard good things about him.

This probably wasn't the best book of his to start with, I didn't read any reviews prior to starting this. Had I, I probably would have opted out.

The novel is centered around Shakespeare's younger brother, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Richard Shakespeare wasn't a really interesting character, and had an insta-love story, in the middle of the mystery of the stolen plays.

Overall, just meh. Maybe I'll attempt to read something else by Cornwell? Maybe not.

OMG! How can she just end her stories with these giant cliff-hangers?!

I think because it didn't quite run along the same lines as the previous books - a brother dying - that it didn't quite have the same attraction for me as the others.

Saying that, though, I have to admit that I love the connection between Jace and Julz/Sammi. It's so passionate and intense!

As for Dornan and everyone else...die already you evil mofos! I dislike you so bleeding much. DIE! *takes a deep, calming breath*
