Erika (17789 KP) rated Nintendo Wii in Tech
Feb 24, 2019
I've played a lot of game consoles over my lifetime, and this is definitely one of the best ones I've played. The controllers for the Wii are comfortable, and the motion sensory works well the majority of the time. This console led to more interactive gaming, and had Sony and Microsoft playing catch-up. Wii tennis, is, of course, the best game on that console (IMO).
As always with Nintendo, the game selection isn't as wide as the PS/Xbox, but that's simply how Nintendo does business.

Victoria Green (34 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider in Video Games

Amazing from start to end.

I love this game for the beginning and couldn't stop playing until I completed it. I was shocked to discover the true killer behind her father's death and was satisfied with everything.
When the game ended with her sacrificing herself to save the world I almost cried but was so glad she didn't actually die and took over her family business. I just hope she would do a few more adventures and that the series wouldn't end there.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2273 KP) rated Drizzled with Death (Sugar Grove Mystery, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When one of the competitors dies during the annual pancake eating contest, Dani finds her family's maple syrup business falling under suspicion. After all, the contestant's syrup was poisoned.
I enjoyed the book from the very beginning, but the more I read the further I got pulled in. The characters were complex and compelling and the mystery was great. The humor was an added bonus. Just watch out for those maple syrup cravings.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2273 KP) rated The Last Word (The Spellmans, #6) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Isabel's hostile take over of the family's PI firm has not gone well. As her parents rebel, she tries to juggle the cases and the paperwork side of the business.
All this is served with multiple storylines and plenty of laughs. The characters are as rich as always, and the ending is great. No, this isn't the last we'll hear from the Spellmans, but the ending of the book explains the title perfectly.

Dan Harrison (0 KP) rated Facebook in Apps
Mar 30, 2018
Easy to use (3 more)
Simple layout
Clear
Notification settings
Some settings can't be changed although the option is there to click (1 more)
Notbpassword protected to access on phone
Broken features
Very good app, clear and simple to use. The layout allows the smooth flow from page to page.
I have had issues with certain security settings only being able to change on a computer.
I think the option of a pin password for Facebook would be a good option and not mandatory. Just for added security. Especially if you use it for business purposes

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2273 KP) rated The Curse of the Holy Pail (An Odelia Grey Mystery, #2) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Paralegal Odelia Grey is stunned when one of her firm's clients dies hours after Odelia visits him on business. She quickly learns that the crown jewel of his antique lunch box collection is missing. Was that the motive for the murder or is something else happening? I loved the book. The characters were real and the plot kept me guessing from one page to the next. The ending was also emotionally satisfying.

Pretty good business book. A lot of it is just stuff that companies aren't doing, which really bothers me. (Just put the right people in the right seats! Make a 10-year goal! Focus on your core-process and let the rest fall off! etc)
I guess I feel it's a little longer than it needs to be to hit some predetermined word-count or page-count target (I guess so they can charge more or make it seem thick enough to be worth purchasing, etc).
I'd still recommend it, especially to top management everywhere.
