Erika (17789 KP) rated Captain America: The Captain in Books
Jan 18, 2021 (Updated Jan 18, 2021)
This book is a massive collection of the run of 'The Captain' series. It's one of my favorite runs. Steve Rogers, fka Captain America, can no longer use his shield because it's property of the gov. the mantle is taken up by John Walker.
I believe they may use some of this run in the new The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which would be great, because it's a solid story.

O Captain! My Captain!
Late 1950s set drama, with the late Robin Williams in full-on dramatic mode (as opposed to his usual comedy persona) as a schoolteacher with unconventional methods in a boys prep school who teaches his charges to 'seize the day'.
Later made a scapegoat when tragedy strikes, this is one of the earliest films I can remember where he, well, acted rather than clowned about!

FINALLY, my library had a digital copy of the 3rd volume of Kelly Sue DeConnick's 2nd Captain Marvel run (yeah, Captain Marvel's runs are confusing as hell). This run was right before Marvel Comics essentially blew up the universe for the battleverse.
The first issues involve Carol tracking down Chewie, her flerken, because she was stolen. they were generally entertaining. There was then a strange filler issue, which was meh, then Carol returned to Earth. A very strange collection overall, the first issues were the best. This volume also features my favorite Captain Marvel panels that I completely relate to...
Cough, Cough, had Larson actually read this run, she'd have known Carol doesn't wear makeup.
