(The other) Young Frankenstein
At the start of the 1970s Hammer tried to relaunch both their main series with new leading men (Ralph Bates replacing Christopher Lee in this case); this was the only reboot which eventually happened. The basics of the Frankenstein story are (just about) retold; young Victor decides to make a man, if not of himself, then from some body parts.

There's no doubt that Ralph Bates could have been a brilliant Frankenstein, but not in a film with a script like this one's. The film attempts to appeal to a hip young audience by including cleavage by the yard and lots of sub-Carry On film humour; script is also thick-headed and repetitive. The moment Frankenstein's experiments included resurrecting a tortoise everyone involved should have realised there was a serious problem here. Not funny, not scary, not interesting, barely worth watching except for Hammer fans. They got Peter Cushing back for the next one.

Carry on Predator!
Well! I have been looking forward to this film for so long and although I enjoyed it as a whole, I felt it could've been a lot better.

It felt more of a comedy sci-fi than your usual Predator film with laughable moments all the way through it.

I understand that there were some requirements to cut parts of the film and edit a lot of the scenes because of this so I think I would've been happier with a delayed release than the final product if it meant honing a few things but it won't stop me from buying it when it comes out and it made for a good night out to the cinema.

Overall it is well worth the watch and is a good film but I just feel that if people are going to compare to the original then they are going to be upset!

Not too bad
This Netflix original series turned out better than I expected. I started it with a hesitation... How could they make a series about a haunted house? I was sort of right in that it played out like one long movie and I don't see it being something that will carry on for more seasons. The acting wasn't bad-the characters well played. The effects and cinematography were pretty cool. The story was slow moving but interesting enough to keep me watching and the creep factor was definitely there. I never read the book but, as with most books-made-into-shows/movies, I'm sure it doesn't do it justice(they never do). However, I did enjoy it enough simply for what it was-an interesting haunted house story-to want to see it through to the end. While not the greatest series ever, it was definitely entertaining. Worth a watch.

Okay.... So.... This is a sequel???
Before we go any further... If you don't know who Chaintel Lewis is in the horror world.... Then we can't be friends anymore.
Lewis is a one-handed actress. She lost her hand in an accident but didn't let thay stop her.
Anyways. Keeping this short and sweet... Like i wished this movie was... Two words for you.
Background Noise.
While trying to grasp at the original from 1978. This movie fails to get a grip on the origonal content. Man kills people with objects from a toolbox.
The remake, which this is the sequel to, is jist as bad. I can usually always find the silver lining in any gore filled horror fest... But I just couldn't wrap my head around this one.
Kudos to Chauntel for doing her best to try and carry this one. But, it just didn't peak my interest.
