I liked the book, but I didn't love it. Told in alternating voices and time-lines, first-person for Amber in the late 60's and third-person for Lorna circa 2000. Amber's voice definitely had the edge as Lorna's felt more distant, probably due to being in third-person, so her story didn't have much of a punch for me. Also, her connection to Black Rabbit Hall felt too pat, too obvious, and not surprising in the least. One thing, as silly as it might seem, that bothered me was the casual mention of texts and wi-fi. Easy to overlook in this day and age, but they just weren't common in the late nineties/early aughts. Otherwise, it was an easy, if predictable read.

This game is an absolute must play for anyone who even calls themselves a casual gamer. Without Super Mario Bros it's entirely possible gaming as we know it today might not exist. This is such an influential piece of entertainment history. The game has 8 vibrant and colorful levels divided into 4 sections each. Each level is unique in one way or another and presents the player with it's own unique challenges. There are plenty of hidden treasures to discover and while the game is challenging, it never feels impossible. We all owe so much love and respect to the original.

Fruits Basket Another is definitely not as intriguing as the original Fruits Basket series. However, the first two volumes were "okay". The third, however, was disappointing. It seemed very disjointed and was buttoned up in a hurry. Since there are only three volumes, remembering who the minor characters are related to was difficult, especially as they didn't have much time in this volume. I think it could've easily stretched into more volumes, but they crammed a bunch of random situations in with some sudden more deep emotional issues, and then it all ended. It's worth reading if you're a fan to get the whole story. If you're a casual reader, you might want to spend your time on something more worthwhile.
