A console for everyone
When the Wii was first released it seemed a bit of a gimmick using motion based controllers to play games. However it was very popular with games like Wii Sports that was included with the console and Mario Kart making it successful. Some of the games were easily playable no matter your age and one all the family can play. It also has some good light-gun games, @The House of the Dead: Overkill is probably the best. Despite not having the technical power of the other main consoles at the time it could still produce amazing graphics. I was so glad that I could play the GameCube remake of Resident Evil through the Wii.
Overall a very good console for casual gamers and for the family to play together. It also has some good titles for more serious gamers as well.

An amazing gateway game
Catan was the first gateway game I played and hooked me on my continued boardgaming journey as an adult. A chance encounter with the game left me wanting more...resulting in 3 years of playing this game relentlessly with a group of friends. Whilst the appeal has waned somewhat, I have no hesitation in recommending this to non-gamers or those looking to get into boardgaming. It is a fun game that has great variability, particularly given the result is driven by die rolls rather than stragy alone. This is also to its benefit, as casual gamers may want something light to get into, but which has room to develop strategies. Catan is a great choice.

The easy going 'cozy' mysteries are a nice casual watch, that isn't too taxing on the brain, but they do follow a very set formula most of the time which can make them a little predictable.

Making wrestling fun again
When Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks became the faces of upstart promotion AEW fans were excited to get a mainstream alternative to WWE which has become complacent with its position in the industry, wit would there be enough star talent to compete. The first few episodes and PPVs say YES... The wrestling often is better than WWE due to the wrestlers being less bogged down with what they can and can’t do in the ring and with less silly skits to worry about, the focus is firmly on the in ring action, with veterans Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone part of the announce team the show feels established yet modern. Hopefully it continues to do well, for their sake and WWE’s too as they will be forced to improve. Good for all fans.
