A beautiful tale about a boy bunny, Marlon Bundo, who falls in love with another boy bunny, Wesley. Marlon's grandpa happens to be, Vice President Mike Pence. In real life, Pence has held a strong opposition to LGBTQ rights; young children will probably not be aware of this and so the humor is there for the parents. There is no sexual content in this book and is merely about love. The artwork is amazing and Marlon looks very dapper in his fantastic bow-ties. The stink bug declares that there will only be love between boy/girl bunnies and not boy/boy bunnies and that because Marlon loves Wesley, he is different and bad. Of course the stink bug resembles Pence. I bought this book on Kindle for my 6 month old granddaughter and I read it to her immediately and am eagerly waiting the hardcover version. I also read it to my 2 male and very gay cats and both the baby and 2 cats enjoyed it immensely! This book is a great teaching aid for children born to heterosexual parents or children of same sex parents, not to mention adults!

Tail of Two Halves
Summer is in full swing, and that means Maddie James is busy with her cat café thanks to the tourists on Daybreak Island. However, when her friend Cass informs her of a potential cat hoarding situation, Maddie readily agrees to help. Sadly, when they arrive, they find Laurel at the bottom of her stairs. It appears that her cats tripped her, but Maddie starts to notice a few things that don’t make any sense. Can she figure out what happened?
This book can almost be divided into two parts. Unfortunately, the first half is rather weak. While a few threads of the mystery are set up, the focus is on rescuing the cats. Meanwhile, some of the characters, including Maddie, over react to what they find. Yes, the situation was bad, but their reactions were over the top. However, the book gets stronger in the second half as the mystery becomes front and center. There are some good twists and a logical solution even if a few pieces set up early don’t seem to quite be paid off. Also, a bit of character development is rushed. I do see that I’m in the minority in my reaction to this book, so if you are a fan of the series, give it a chance. But if you haven’t started it yet, try some of the earlier books before jumping in to this one.

Rolling Stone's 326th greatest album of all time
One of my biggest regrets in life is how long it took me to get in to The Cure. A couple of years ago, my only knowledge of them was Boys Don't Cry, Love Cats and Friday I'm In Love. This album is poles apart from that material and is absolutely superb. From start to finish it is an absolute joy, Pictures of You, Fascination Street and Prayers for Rain are all excellent but for me it is the title track that steals the show - such a slow build up to an epic powerful finish, I always have to go back and listen again.

Kitten, Tigers, Eels, Oh My!
I really loved this middle grade offering. The cats are an obvious draw themselves of course but it was well constructed apart from its feline charm.
The plot kept one guessing enough to be engaged (I finished in one long sitting), there were interesting lovable characters (if not perhaps the most fleshed out- though I’d say it was easily on par with Narnia in that regard), the dialogue wasn’t anything you’d find in Austen but there were moments that drew chuckles and I was satisfied on that score for the age group it is intended to appeal to.
The narrative had its insightful moments, and the writing itself was pleasant. I’d think the vocabulary employed would be largely comfortable but stretching (in a good way) for most 4th-6th graders, though obviously that depends on the child.
The only warning I would have for very young sensitive animal loving children is that the villain might be a tad dark for them. I’m certain I would have cried and been furious at a couple points as a child and probably would have ranted to family and friends about how despicable he was. One part drew a “well, F***!” from me as it is, and a couple descriptions made me a bit squeamish but they were not graphic and I’m pretty squeamish about such things in general. I would gladly recommend it to most any kiddo I know or even an adult who really likes cats. :P

These were all cute and fun stories. My favorite was Valerie King's A Tangle of Kittens. While I was a little weary of the plot at first, I soon warmed up to it and it was a delightful story (the description on the back of the book is misleading though). Both Anne and Marecham are terrific and they have great conversations between them. The Birthday Kitten is next on my list and it was very sweet, loved both Johnna and Ramsey. Finally, Belling the Kitten was very fun, although not my favorite of the three, I found Amaris to be a twit at first. Love the cats in all the stories too! So cute! All in all a great little Valentine's anthology.

A highly entertaining party game
It's not often that you find a fun trivia game that isn't actually based on what you know, but 8 out of 10 cats really pulls it off.
It manages to replicate the tv show in an easily understandable and fun format, that can be played by all the family. It's not reliant on how smart you are but rather concentrates on your opinions and common sense. It's a great party game to play with multiple teams, it involves everyone and it isn't very long either. The final round (to complete before you are crowned the winner) is quite difficult, but thankfully not enough to make you want to give up in exasperation. Such a fun game.

Lacy Crocker is back in another fun and fur-filled adventure. The story wastes no time getting right to the business of murder when Lacy goes to meet her design hero to show off some of her creations, she finds the designer dead on the floor in her home. As much as to protect the dead womans Siamese as to see justice done, Lacy jumps right in to find the killer. With a clever heroine, a dash of romance, and cats galore, theres something in this cozy to please almost everyone.

The Phantom Of The Opera
This film is one of the classics.
Phantom Of The Opera is a musical, the songs were composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, a very knows British composer that has written a lot of other songs to other very famous musicals (ex: Cats and Evita).
The film takes place is Opera Popullaire and it starts when Christine (the main character), a ballerina, replaces Carlotta, the opera main star and becomes famous due to her signing classes with her mysterious teacher, The Phantom. In the meanwhile she founds her childhood old love and they fall in love again leaving The Phantom heart broken. It’s a romance triangle.
Its dramatic. Emotional. And very worth the watch.

More a collection of short stories that are loosely tied together rather than a novel in it's own right, with most of those stories involving Bertie Wooster's friend Bongo Little - he who falls in love with every other female - in some form or other, and also occasionally including Wooster's cousins Claude and Eustace.
This collection includes Aunt Agatha's attempts to hitch Bertie in France to who-proves-to-be a conman, the cats in the bedroom incident with Sir Roderick Glossop (that continually crops up in other books), Bingo Little's Village Fair play, and (one of) Wooster's sojourn in America that involves stage shows.
As always, it is up to Jeeves to save the day in each and every incidence ...
