Kyera (8 KP) rated Scrappy Little Nobody in Books
Jan 31, 2018
Scrappy Little Nobody is a cute, relatable celebrity book. Anna Kendrick charms you with her unique perspective and opens up in ways she hasn't before. The book is not generally funny, nor do I believe it's meant to be, but it has its moments and stories that make you laugh. She is definitely a more normal celebrity who shares some of her confusion about the industry, fashion, and events. You realize its nor all glitz and glamour, but these are real people with emotions, problems and they get just as overwhelmed and pleased as we would if we were receiving an award. It's not the best celebrity book I've read, but it was enjoyable and I recommend it if you're a fan of hers.

Another favourite author of mine - after coming off of Neighbour from Hell this is quite a different pace to come to and read. This book is very adorable and sweet, and actually has quite a bit of excitement, suspense maybe - action with the celebrity aspect. Throws a different light on that type of life I wonder if that's how all celebrity life is or if they live a more "normal" type of celebrity.
I like the book writer aspect and the kids, oh I love kids in books when written right, though sometimes I definitely felt the kids were written older then they were, it didn't bother me too much. This was a re-read for me though i can't remember when I read it for the first time (I read neighbour from hell repeatedly so I figured I'd re-read this series, not sad I did).

The best part of the film is that it doesn’t overstay its welcome, although some of the celebrity fan theories are a little out there, and perhaps the influence is slightly overstated.

This is a fantastically atmospheric film which gives an insight into the emotions and reality of the painful side of celebrity, and also shows the release of a simple life. I loved it and would recommend it to everyone.

A nice simple review for my first post. This is a family feel good film that never ceases to cause a laugh. The narrative corresponds with the normal events from the series and its great to see how children's characters can inspire such a bold freedom.
