Since I don't seem to be having much luck with books that I have actively bought to read and then struggled to get into, I've gone back to the Random Number Generator and it chose #32, which is this one: a chick-lit romance. We will see how I get on with it...

2.5 stars.

I'm really picky with my chick-lit. I like authors like [a:Paige Toon|515155|Paige Toon|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1276611385p2/515155.jpg] and [a:Belinda Jones|42220|Belinda Jones|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1272239001p2/42220.jpg] who focus a good 80-90% of the story on the main characters and their romance.

This was probably 30%, which was a big disappointment. I wanted more of Derry. He appeared in the book probably about 5 times total, which was rubbish.

The only good thing in my opinion was the Joss thing. I'm so glad she got rid of Marvin, the insensitive, manipulative old sod. Admittedly I was doing a little happy dance when they met in London and she told him how it was now. Go Joss!

Other than that though, I was disappointed. I read books for the romance and for me, there wasn't much between our main characters.

Not a book I'm likely to keep.

Erika (17789 KP) rated the PlayStation 3 version of Tekken 6 in Video Games

Tekken 6
Tekken 6
2009 | Fighting
The first game I always purchase when I have a Playstation, is Tekken. I played the crap out of Tekken 2 on the PS when I was a kid. So, when I purchased a PS3, Tekken 6 was the first game I purchased and played. Tekken is an excellent fighting game with a large variety of characters. Nina is probably my favorite, and always has been.
The only gripe I have is the skimpy clothing on the females, like legit a chick wouldn't fight in some bikini thing. But, that's a gripe I have with all female video game characters.

Amazing film
Don't be put off thinking this is just another cheesey chick flick, that would be an unjust insult. This is a very well made film with a great story of true love standing the test of time. The acting, score, cinematography and the 40's theme costumes and sets really show this is a very well produced film. It might be obvious from early on what is going to happen but it doesn't stop the journey being any less fun. If you liked the romance side of Titanic and Pearl Harbour you will like this a lot.

"This reminds me of the time I went through a big Miles Davis phase. Talk about going into different worlds with an artist – he did that every time, from Kind Of Blue and Porgy and Bess onwards, anyway. This album's still the one I return to, from 1969, and the band is phenomenal. You've got Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea on electric piano, Wayne Shorter on soprano saxophone, John McLaughlin on guitar. This is truly cosmic music for me, or even music that feels like it's emerging from the cosmos. As it plays, you feel like you're coming up with the sunshine."
