Bluerock72 (2 KP) rated Loopin' Louie in Tabletop Games
Jul 31, 2019
Easy to set up. And easy to play. (1 more)
Build quality is very good.
Fun family/kids game
Loopin' Louie was bought for our boys from an avid board game player. The idea is to knock each other's chickens off the roof tops of their coupe's, you knock them off using Louis's airplane that spins in the centre of the game. You have to defend your chickens by flipping Louis in the air making him do some terrific aerial manoeuvres, and hopefully knocking off chickens from an opponent roof top. A great giggle of a game.

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated Chicken Run (2000) in Movies

Chickens Can Run
I love the stop motion animation. It is perfect, its excellent and phenomenal. Chicken Run was Aardman Animations' first feature-length production, which would be executive produced by Jake Eberts. Nick Park and Peter Lord, who run Aardman, directed the film. The movie is a loose parody of the film The Great Escape.
The plot: Award-winning DreamWorks animation from the Aardman team, telling the story of a band of chickens doomed to a life of egg-laying on a Yorkshire chicken farm. When a flamboyant American rooster arrives on the scene, the hens hope he can teach them to fly to freedom. However, when a chicken-pie making machine is installed, their need becomes urgent and they must devise other means of escape.
Its a excellent film. It has humor, adventure, darkness and most of all chickens. Lots of them. A must see if you haven't already.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2277 KP) rated A Vicky Hill Exclusive! (Vicky Hill, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Vicky Hill is trying to make a name for herself in journalism, but she's stuck in a small English village. Fortunately, she stumbles on a strange case involving a dead hedge jumper and chickens. Can she figure things out? The plot hooked me early and kept me going, which is a good thing considering how much I hated Vicky. She kept spinning wild theories that any sane person would dismiss. And her obsession with losing her virginity wasn't nearly as funny as it was supposed to be.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2277 KP) rated Hen of the Baskervilles (Meg Langslow, #15) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Meg is the assistant direct at the Un-fair, a local alternative to the state fair. The first morning things get off to a rough start with some vandalism and theft, including two heritage chickens from the chicken tent. Throw in tension in the wine pavilion and things are hoping before the dead body shows up.
While I didn't find this one as laugh out loud funny as some of the previous entries, I did really enjoy it. The plot was good and the characters - new and old - were fun. Meg's twins stole every scene they were in, too. Fans of the series or lighter cozies in general will love it.
