"Growing up most of the songs Momma sang for us were faith-based and I always cling to them as, like this hymn, they remind me so much of my childhood and great memories of my family."

The end of my childhood came when I finished this book. So many emotions left me raw and broken. First time I cried while reading a book.

So very tempted with Fireball Island.... I remember this from my childhood, it probably wasn't a good game, but who doesn't love rolling fireballs down on peoples friends... these designers are serious players, so it's probably quite good...

Agreed. I don’t want to get my hopes up too much. But I hope it’s awesome.

Incredibles 2 was a long awaited piece of my childhood that did not let down my expectations. The reversal of roles for Mr. Incredible and Elastagirl was enjoyable to watch. I am planning to buy this for christmas.

Sums up all my childhood movies
Awesome adventurous kids, a daring quest, and being set in 1980s America, pretty much sums up all childhood movies into one. The Goonies is an absolute classic coming of age movie of kids trying to stop a rich developer buying up property and splitting up the young friends. Their way is to find mythical treasure via a map from a so-called legend. Along the way are some good old fashioned villains, some challenges and a pirate ship. Still watch it every Christmas.

Not My Favorite
This is an adorable tale about two young sisters and their father moving into a new home. This place is a bit of a fixer upper but the whimsical and magical little house makes the whole place seem alive. The whole film is very memorable of a childhood filled with adventures through the woods and dreams of meeting strange new creatures. Although not one of my favorites of the Studio Ghibli films it still holds it own within the collection.

My fourth grade teacher read a chapter to the class at the end of every school day. I remember looking forward to it so much, as did the rest of the class. Perfect for a child's imagination!

Rolling Stone's 337th greatest album of all time
Great progressive rock album, with some epic, rambling song-stories telling tales of childhood rejection and subsequent vindication. The inclusion of flute was an interesting feature for a typical rock album.
