Nice Pahps!
Wine and Crime - Best Cocktail Ever!
A hilariously funny combination of crazy crimes, three childhood friends from Minnesota, and wine. Lots and lots of wine.
With wine reviews, a "background and psychology" section, and at least two crimes per show, these girls discuss a variety of crimes from murders in crazy places, and murders for bizarre reasons, to the smuggling of horse genitals. There really is something for absolutely everyone, although the easily offended should probably exercise caution.
With over 90 episodes, live shows around the US, and their attendance at Crime Con, these three amazing women provide hours upon hours of incredible ear fodder, brain soup, giggle muscle aperitifs and gag-reflex beverages (yeah, maybe stretched that analogy a bit far). Still, the podcast is fascinating, nausea-inducing, hysterically funny, and utterly addictive, and will have you saying "nice pahp" faster than you think.

Outcast continues the story started in Hunted. Kayla and Tara are at the Faire, and so is Christine. The Blackwood clan is still after them, and secrets are about to be revealed.

Kayla develops as a character, although her feelings towards Ryan will make your head spin! We find out more about her childhood, and what it was like for Tara too. Yet more questions arise though, and are yet to be answered. Christine and Colm get to spend some time together as Christine learns just who the men are at the Forever Faire.

With a fast-pace, smooth storyline, and no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the flow of reading, this is a solid second book in the series, that leaves you on a cliffhanger and wanting more. Definitely recommended by me.

* I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. *

Mysterious and exciting
This book was slightly hard to get into at first. I found myself reading a bit then putting it down, not to return to it for a while. But one Spa day and I took this book with me. I realised I needed no distractions to get tucked into this book to understand it. Learning about famous real life cases and about criminal profiling was exciting for me, especially as I have an interest in psychology. This book explores the psychology of criminals, from early in their childhood: before committing crimes. We get to understand the patterns of behaviour that lead individuals to commit crime, and how the different patterns match specific crimes. In this book you will explore different theories of psychology and criminal behaviour, as well as read about the detectives that hunt these criminals down. After reading this book I then went on to watch the series on Netflix which was also done very well!
