Childhood feels
Disney started to make live action movie of their classics quite long time ago. Aladdin was my favourite (along side with the Lion King) and I was a bit worried about this live action. I went to the cinema and Disney did it again. I was a child again for all the movie, laughing and enjoying every single scene. Was a really nice surprise. The songs were brilliant, the cast amazing, Will Smith exceptional. The only thing I didn't like it was Jafar. He didn't really convinced me.

Joy, Love, and Childhood Wonder, A True Masterpiece
This is a simple movie that is a perfect representation of what a movie should do in the simplest way. It makes you feel something. It doesn't have an elaborate plot or idea. It is just two little girls living life with joy and some nature spirits. Yet it is the most emotionally invested I've been in a movie possibly my entire life. In a world full of sad news all the time and daily stress this movie makes me forget all problems in my life and just enjoy the spectacle of childhood wonder.

Ben-Hur (1959)
Ben-Hur (1959)
1959 | Adventure, Drama, History
1959 multi-Oscar winning bible-adjacent epic, starring a then 35-year old Charlton Heston as the titular Judah Ben Hur, alive contemporaneously with Jesus, who is accused of an attack on the Roman governor in Judeah and is then sentenced to slavery by his erstwhile childhood friend, before becoming a free man once more and out for revenge on that childhood friend (leading to what the film is perhaps most famous for, the chariot race) whilst believing his family to be dead but who are, in fact, suffering from a then-incurable disease.

And yes, this film is often shown at Easter - if you watch it, you'll see why!
