"A grandmother from New Jersey uses genetics, ethnography, and child psychology to refute the dogma that parents shape their children's intelligence and personality. A major influence on my own book “The Blank Slate.”"

I received a copy of Wilder Girls from Random House Children's through Netgalley.

This book is horrible and gorgeous. Such strong elements of body horror and passion.

I loved every minute of this book and even more delighted with how very gay it all is.

Although this is a children's book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very easy to read and very interesting. Although the main bulk of the story happens near the end, the build up is interesting.

A Wonderful Story about the Story We All Have to Tell
What a wonderful idea for a children's book. A story about how everyone has a unique and special story to tell. I love how this book travels around the world showing pictures of different places. I think it is always great when books expand children's minds to the world around them. I think teaching children to share then story and to want to learn about the story of others is a great way to explore the world and all it has to offer.

Almost a Bedtime Story
I fell in love with this fantastical book. It ALMOST could qualify as a children's bedtime story. A story of Kings and Queens, and evil sorcery. But of course, Stephen King always makes it his own!

Different than expected
I liked this book....it was interesting and kept my attention plus the pictures were really cool to look at. It really brought the book to life and sold the story.

I don't like that the main character is perceived as being stupid, with supporting characters enforcing it. It was okay as a children's book but there are a lot of things you (and the characters) have to take for belief, and things left unexplained.

Great Children's Book
This book is a great quick for when you have a spare five minutes lying around. Although the characters seems to be a little underdeveloped for my taste, I still love the story line. This is probably because I enjoyed the film so much and could easily imagine the characters and their mannerisms.

3.5/5

Thanks to Dean Street Press for rereleasing this lovely book. E.H.Young writes so beautifully, I wish I had read her children's books when I was young. This #bookreview is for one of her adult fiction books. http://tcl-bookreviews.com/2020/08/03/wholly-moley/
