This Halloween Special of the Creepshow Shudder series is a nice pitstop whilst we patiently wait for the second season of its main run.
It consists of two 20-ish minute shorts based on Survivor Type by Stephen King, and Twittering from the Circus of the Dead, by King's son Joe Hill.
The animation used is not much more than a motion comic, but it still manages to be quite striking, and gets the job done. I certainly managed to stay engaged in it.

The stories are exactly the type of material that one would come to expect from Creepshow. Short, sharp, to the point, usually with some sort of underlying message. Like Aesop's Fables but with more entrails.
Survivor Type was my favourite of the two, and focuses on one man's descent into madness when he's washed up on a desert island. Kiefer Sutherland lends his voice talents to this tale, and makes it sound like a proper campfire horror story. It's pretty grim in all honesty, but it's just the right kind of grim for a Halloween Special.

Twittering is the sillier of the two, focusing on a young girl Tweeting her experience of a family getaway. They end up at a circus which proves to be more deadly than originally thought. This one was a little more difficult to get on board with at the beginning. It starts off with a typical "social media is bad" kind of vibe, but when the horror starts, it flips nicely, and ends on an entertaining, and quite horrific note. It's all good stuff!

I've really taken to the Creepshow series, and although this special isn't quite up there with the same level of quality, it's still a fun 45 minute horror trip that's worth a visit.

Great Story Despite is Flaws
A young circus elephant discovers that his worst attribute is actually his greatest gift. I’ve gotten slack on the Disney animated journey I’ve been traveling, but remembering Dumbo makes me want to dedicate my time once again to the daunting task of watching each and every single movie.

You can’t help but love little innocent Dumbo, hated for something he can’t help. He’s the perfect hero you want to get behind. His story is one that stays in our hearts, aided by a solid group of supporting characters.

Cinematography/Visuals: 10

Conflict: 10

Entertainment Value: 10
A story that’s teeming with originality, it’s hard not to get wrapped up in the story of Dumbo. From the moment the circus rolls into town, you expect something interesting to go down. Less than twenty minutes in, things go awry keeping you engaged in the story.

Memorability: 10
Is it the message? The colorful visuals? the creativity? There is something about Dumbo that holds you and makes you want to watch it repeatedly. It still holds up as one of the best animated films ever made.

Pace: 10

Plot: 9
I could’ve done without the elephants on parade in the drunk sequence and the crows were a bit of a sore spot, but the story is magnificent overall. Sometimes you have to overlook a couple things to recognize how good something truly is. Dumbo is a unique story you won’t find anywhere else.

Resolution: 10
Cute ending that ties the message up in a nice little bow. An inspiration for adults and kids alike. Great finale.

Overall: 99
Dumbo shows us that the thing that makes us different makes us special. It’s one of a thousand reasons we loving having Disney+ in our homes. Dumbo still holds up as an animated classic.

Barnum long before Bailey.
I honestly wish that I would have paid the money to see this film in the theaters. Some of the scenes were larger than life and deserved to be viewed that way. The cinematography was amazing. The storyline had a few glitches here and there, only somewhat following the real history of PT Barnum. I found myself singing along with songs that I couldn't even tell you how I already knew the words to. I wanted to watch it again the minute I'd finished it and that hasn't really happened to me in a long time. I fully recommend watching this. Even if you aren't typically a fan of musicals or circuses, you're likely to find something about this film that pulls at your heart strings.

This author continues to push the boundaries of our sanity and completely pushes us over the edge. Your mind is completely and utterly fragmented by the time you reach the end of this book. This sadistic tale has us visiting the circus but trust me this is not a wholesome Barnum and Bailey type of place. The storyline is fast-paced and encases you in its madness. The characters are well developed and all of them have their own agendas. The world-building will have you feeling like you have fallen down a twisted and demonic rabbit hole.

This is another book that is not for those with weak stomachs. Could use some editing but at times some of those issues actually added to the story. I will continue to read the author's books as quickly as he can pump them out.
