The Day the Earth Stood Still- is anethor classic sci-fi movie that came out in the early 1950's. With this film, the thing from anethor world and the war of the worlds. The early 50's was on fire with sci-fi movies.

The Plot: When a UFO lands in Washington, D.C., bearing a message for Earth's leaders, all of humanity stands still. But it is Klaatu's soft-spoken robot Gort that presents a more immediate threat to onlookers. it’s hard to level any complaints at F1 2017. It’s one of the best simulation racing games around, with the one caveat being that you probably have to be a fan of F1 to enjoy it.

Future literary classic
In 100 years time the Harry Potter books will be taught in schools and studied in universities the way current students study Dickens and Austen. Whilst not being the greatest piece of writing ever it is a perfect starting point for young readers to begin their journey through the myriad world's of books.

Worth the struggle
A classic of course. From an academic perspective, it is interesting to read this and look at the flaws caused by the limited knowledge at the time of writing. Without knowledge of DNA or genetics in general, there is a lot of guesswork here. But still this is a great book, and a great starting point for someone wanting to learn more about the world of evolution.

Looking dated now
A cult classic and for the time I can see why. However if watching it for the first time now, it looks very dated and the effects quite poor. Still it has its gory moments, a rather simple story and it could do with the cenobites being in the film a bit more. It did launch a whole load of sequels, 7 altogether?!

IDW has a great art team working on this title. BUT retelling classic Trek stories with slight twists to represent the new time line is lazy writing and quite frankly, boring. The best ones in the book stray far from the source material or are new stories to begin with. The same problem I have with the movies actually. Tell me new stories with this crew. Leave the prime universe alone.

Another Spielberg classic
One of the first films to have the technology to make dinosaurs look real. It's a great concept, who wouldn't want to visit a Dinosaur theme park. Unlike Disney World though when things go wrong the guests don't get eaten! Probably one of my most watched films.

Abbey Road is one of the best Beatles albums ever produced
This is a classic record, with a slight moodier undertone than Revolver and a follow on from the White Album. "Come Together" and "I Want You" are some of the standout bluesy tracks, swinging their Stratocaster and Gibson guitars into a minor key. Not to mention "Here Comes The Sun" which changes the feel entirely. An absolute work of art.
