I’ve been trying to read this book for the best part of 20 years. It moved with me from my childhood home, through university, to the house I live in now. It’s a well travelled book. Thanks to The Pigeonhole, they’ve removed the one hurdle to the reason why I haven’t read it: sections, chapters, staves - call it what you will. I have a mental block when it comes to reading something without a break, and now I have learnt what I need to do - create sections or breaks myself (Ducks, Newburyport may well be on the cards soon).
I’m so glad that The Pigeonhole serialised this, because I’ve been missing out on a true classic. A day in the life of Clarissa Dalloway in the lead up to her party, and all of the people who intersect her life(directly and indirectly). It’s a beautiful story. The peripheral stories are just as interesting and important, giving us a look in to the lives of those living at the time. In particular the story of Septimus Smith stays with me, and the lack of understanding of both Shell Shock and mental health problems. But life seems to go on for all of the others.
This is a book that I’m glad to have read, and it’s not hard to see why it’s considered to be a classic.

Snakes! Why Did It Have To Be Snakes?
Raiders of the Lost Ark- started the Indiana Jones franchise, off with a bang. Lots of action, adventure, wips and gun fights. Classic sences like.. The Boulder chase, sword vs gun, face melting, taking the lost ark and top secert.

The plot: Epic tale in which an intrepid archaeologist tries to beat a band of Nazis to a unique religious relic which is central to their plans for world domination. Battling against a snake phobia and a vengeful ex-girlfriend, Indiana Jones is in constant peril, making hair's-breadth escapes at every turn in this celebration of the innocent adventure movies of an earlier era.

The film was subsequently nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, in 1982 and won four (Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction-Set Decoration (Norman Reynolds, Leslie Dilley, and Michael D. Ford)).

A Clever Little Love Letter to Classic James Bond Movies
With sharp cinematography, creative action sequences, and an incredibly tight screenplay, the only thing The Kingsmen stumbles over is its own cleverness. This is another movie that proves that films can be both entertaining to the masses and offer something fresh. It gives you that nostalgia for the days of shoe phones and colorful megalomaniacal villains while still subverting enough tropes of the genre to avoid feeling like a remix. Only 9 out of 10 because for my tastes, the film was just slightly too beholden to the Rule of Cool, especially towards the end of the film.

Huge potential but falls short
A strange, weird Sci-Fi/horror. It's not helped by a confusing plot that takes a while to unravel. Featuring a well known cast including the brilliant Ian Richardson who should be in more films and an early small role for Melissa George. It's ambitious and with the right budget could have been amazing. I kinda felt it was trying too hard to be a film ahead of its time. It's not until about half way through things start to make sense, until then the highlight was Melissa George. It could have been a classic but falls a bit short for me.
