The music....even though it doesn't exist
One of the best Behind the Music's and it's for a fictional band
I loved absolutely everything about this book!
As someone who was raised on 70s music my entire life I have to say Daisy Jones and The Six just captured the era so perfect from the clothes to the attitudes to the music everything was just perfect about this book I'm kind of bummed that I didn't go with the audiobook cuz I've heard so many great things about it even though I'm not an audiobook fan I might just have to give it a listen.
The characters really just stole the entire story each one of them had such a distinct personality and I loved that you got hear each one of their story's in a way but Daisy Jones really was the show steeler and just really sounded like such a cool person really bummed that she's not actually real.
I was really show me where e on how the book was set up but honestly I grew up watching Behind the Music with my dad a lot and the book really just felt like watching an episode.

And honestly the most tragic part of the book is that the album wasn't real.

I know. It is perfect. But it's hard to let go of the characters. There's so much left to say.

I would like to start by saying that I am probably too old to be playing this game anyway, however the Sims is a part of my childhood that I am not willing to give up just yet.
I was very excited for this to get released as I have 2 dogs (real life ones) and what more could you want than to have virtual ones too. I was looking forward to finally completing my virtual family and making it as close to my real one as possible.
I think this game would be great if you hadn't already played Sims 3 Pets. In this version you can't controll your pet, you can interact with them in a way that you can train them to do things, however you cannot use them as you would any other member of the family. This makes it hard to see their needs and therefore makes having a pet a bit of a chore.
This expansion pack does have many great additions, like a new neighbourhood and new decorations and clothes etc. which do add to the game and make it more interesting.
Overall, I think if you are new to the Sims and have come in at The Sims 4, this expansion pack is great. However if you have played previous versions it can be quite disappointing.

I love Harry Potter, so I was thrilled to discover this game. I love the graphics, and the storyline is fairly interesting as it takes place before Harry Potter attended Hogwarts. It has some interesting characters as well. I love that I’m able to customize my character with hairstyles, clothes, and accessories.

The downside is that energy takes awhile to accumulate. It’s 4 minutes per 1 energy. Also, it takes forever to level up knowledge, empathy, etc the higher your level. Some friendships take forever to level up as well since you can only do activities to level up the friendship after so many hours (which the waiting is too long). New chapters take forever to get released. When I first downloaded this game, I thought it was a finished product. I didn’t realize the game wasn’t finished. I also don’t like competing against other houses as it’s a bit unfair considering most people are in Gryffindor and Slytherin, so there’s no way to win.

However, this is a fun game when there is a chapter released. I will definitely keep playing. I’ve already invested too much time and money (yes, there are micro transactions).

High-Risk Invasion is an anime that starts with with a very dark premises (and I guess should have a trigger warning here). A school girl (Yuri) finds herself in a world that exists entirely on the top floors and roofs of sky scrapers. She soon meets a figure in a strange mask who seems intent on driving her off the roof and to her death. Yuri soon find out that there are a number of these 'Masks' who's sole purpose is to try to drive the none masks to suicide.
After a few episodes, 'High-Rise Invasion' takes a strange turn, surviving the masks is part of a test to find some one who is worthy of becoming the new god.
High-Rise Invasion starts very dark and it's easy to see why it changed tones, it either had to change to something unexpected or become something like 'Alice in Borderland ' and a lot of the story is spent on world building and setting up the main premises.
Viewers need to be aware that 'High-Rise Invasion' contains suicide, violence, threat of rape as well as the anime standards of panty-shots and other clothes being ripped. If you are ok with these themes and a high level of violence then 'High-Rise Invasion' offers an interesting story and plenty of action.

The protagonists in this book would be Malin and Jake, and the book is told mainly from their perspectives. Malin is a police officer, who grew up in an isolated town called Ormberg, and is back with her colleagues, to investigate a murder, that happened years ago. Jake is a teenage schoolboy, who loves dressing up in woman’s clothes, and by accident, gets hold of Hanne’s diary. I really liked most of the characters in this book, and I loved to read their personal and intriguing stories. I really liked the way Camilla Grebe shared the story of not only the main but supporting characters as well.

The narrative of this book was interesting, but it lacked suspense and excitement. Especially, the investigation part. Sometimes the chapters really dragged, particularly Malin’s parts. Her parts lacked intrigue, and her thoughts became quite repetitive after a while. I really enjoyed Jake’s parts, his secret life, his thoughts and snippets from Hanne’s diary, held this book together. The topics discussed were dementia and how the person feels while having it, bullying, sexual confusion, refugee situation from native’s perspectives, and many more.

The setting of this book is cold, gloomy, quite claustrophobic and depressing. The plot is set in the middle of forests full of snow, so it is perfect for winter lovers.

At the start of the movie, the main character steph is recording a video talking about her childhood, she was snubbed by the cool kids so decided she wanted to become popular. She achieved this, got a "hot" boyfriend and became a cheerleader. However, after a cheerleading accident steph ends up in a coma for 20 years. When she wakes up she has to learn all the ins and outs of the present day, such as smart phones, words you can't use anymore, the fact her boyfriend was now married and how much her body has aged.
She soon decides that she wants to finish her month she missed of her senior year, including cheerleading and becoming prom Queen.
I really enjoyed this movie despite it being over the top silly in places and unrealistic, I mean a 37 year old still fitting into her clothes from when she was 17 with very different body shapes is about as unrealistic as you can get!
The soundtrack is all kinds of nostalgic and took me back to my late teens as there was everything from Mandy Moore to a like for like redo of the drive me (crazy) video by britney spears. If you love the 90s/00s era of teen movies, you're sure to love this.

Cinderella and the Colonel ( Timeless Fairy Tales book 3)
By K.M. Shea
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cinderella may be a duchess, but her life is in tatters.

Orphaned, destitute, and living in a country recovering from a hostile takeover, Cinderella is desperate to save her lands and servants. She is so determined that when terrible taxes are placed upon her, she dons servants' clothes and works like a commoner.

Unfortunately, her sacrifices aren't enough, and she is given one season to pay off her debt. All seems lost, until Cinderella is befriended by the debonair Colonel Friedrich - a member of the Erlauf military and a citizen of the oppressing country that rules her homeland.

Though Friedrich shamelessly flirts with her and pesters her at all hours all the day, Cinderella wonders if he is more than he appears to be... and if together they could unite their lands against the bitterness and resentment that threatens to destroy them.

This was my favourite retelling of Cinderella I have read also my Favourite so far in this series. I enjoyed the whole concept when it came to the stepmother and sisters too it was so nice to see a different version of them. I absolutely love this author her books always make me smile.

This trend would continue into the final outing with MGM and the original cast as Johnny Weissmuller and John Sheffield (Boy) would continue on with RKO, but Maureen O’Sullivan, who had clearly grown tired of the role after ten years would depart. And good.

In the early films, especially the first two, Tarzan and Jane’s relationship was paramount. A romantic fairy-tale of sexual and social freedom as Jane would shed her clothes and with them, the shackles of modern civilization in order to live with Tarzan in his idyllic Eden like Jungle home. Hopping from tree to tree, diving into lakes and frolicking where they fell.

By now, they live in a Flintstones style western home with more western trappings than we have today, with Jane being nothing more than an obedient, devoted housewife whilst Tarzan is becoming more civilized and their adopted some has somehow developed and strong American accent!

Jane’s journey was a dead end, and here, as the pair travel to New York to rescue Boy from a circus, she might as well not return to her jungle tree-house at all.

But having said that, this is fun if not a silly adventure, with the fish out of water tropes played out to some comic effect. The scene with Tarzan in the shower is funny but Cheeta’s rampage through Janes suitcase is just annoying as is the fact that she needed so many make up products in the first place!

I haven’t seen such complete and utter nonsense since Hereditary.

The bitter disappointment in Hereditary still lingers to this day. The build up, and all of the hype on film Twitter, got me so excited to see it. And then, I ended up in a cinema full of people, all laughing at the ridiculousness of it all and all coming out saying how truly bad it was.

So when Midsommar came along, and everyone online started reacting in exactly the same way as they did for Hereditary, I wasn’t having any of it. The trailer looked OK, but I didn’t want to waste my time being like the person in the story of the emperors new clothes who pipes up and says “hang on a minute, this is actually complete crap”. So I didn’t bother with it.

But now it’s on Amazon Prime, and cinemas are closed. It’s desperate times, so I gave it a try.

And for the first half, it was OK. But by the end of it, I was disappointed again and I really do feel that it actually does follow the same Hereditary formula, only delivered slightly better -

A first half which plays like a beautifully shot drama.

A gruesome shock during this first half.

A beautifully shot, but ultimately dull, second half which struggles to deliver on the initial setup, decides to descend into a ridiculous and laughable mess instead.

A standout performance (Toni Collette then, Florence Pugh now).

"I know everyone expected Bikini Kill. It was on my list, but I wanted to put Huggy Bear, because it was wacky. Nathan [Paine, Gossip guitarist] got me into them. It was pre-internet, pre-everything but I wanna say probably Nirvana helped too. They brought so many great things, like The Raincoats and Bikini Kill to the conversation. I think that was how we knew about them, but Nathan, he had all those 7”.. He would spend his lunch money on records and in fact when we moved to Olympia, when we went into Kill Rock Stars as we were going to be on their label, they told me a story that when Nathan moved there, and he came in, they all went 'You're Nathan'! Because he ordered so many records, they knew who he was. I thought that was so sweet. Also Bikini Kill was never on television, there was no The Word so to be able to see Huggy Bear in mainstream media, on television, that was so cool. See I didn't listen to L7, it wasn't melodic enough for me. Or Babes In Toyland either. It wasn't my 90s. It wasn't silly enough. One of my favourite things is this 90s resurgence because I get to wear all the clothes I wore as a kid. In Utero was gonna be on the list, but I took it off. And if I really wanna get down to the nitty gritty, I woulda put The Wipers, but let's be honest, I heard Nirvana first."
