YAYYYYY. Le Book Club decided to go straight to Insurgent after reading Divergent. Of course, I probably would've read it right before the book came out so I wouldn't be all "anticipation is killing me!!!" But a bookworm never runs out of books to read, so I'll just sit back, chillax and wait. And wait. And wait. Until the 3rd and final book finally comes out at last so I can beg my mom to go to the bookstore JUST so I can buy it. (I can always wait for the library though.) I mean, come on. Drastic cliff-hanger there. It's agonizing. Too agonizing.
There are lots of shocking secrets here too. For one thing, WHY, CALEB, WHY?!?!?! I'm not even gonna say what he did for those who haven't read it. I just thought I was walking on my bedroom ceiling for a few minutes there when I read it. Of course... I wasn't. Or I would see clothes littering the ceiling and whatever's on the floor (not necessarily clothes). Oh, and Peter. Wow. Just wow. -_- But hey, without that, who knows what would've happened? But I am glad to say there are some peeps that are well, good riddance to them.
I didn't get what the title really meant at first. It didn't even make sense, in my opinion. Until later. Until it was explained (kinda). But oy, what a way to end. Totally unexpected. As much as I'm a bit exhausted with Dystopian Fiction (believe me, there are probably a lot that are lurking on my Kindle App and I have no clue about. Or do I?), I'll say Insurgent was a delightful read. On the overall end, I kinda liked Divergent more. By no means of bashing whatsoever, it was more... unique from The Hunger Games (I guess that applies to all first books in a series), in the means of corrupted government.
But what can I say? Perks to Veronica Roth for creating a unique world with it's own unique parts. :3
And now, I have to wait. And wait. And wait. For a few months. Or is it? *checks date on Goodreads* Oh facepalm. More than a few months. Oh wait, it comes out 10 days after I'm 16! Hey, when's the choosing ceremony for us? :p

25 years ago all of Ireland was cut off from the rest of the world and were made to endure the revenge of the fairies or the Sídhe who were driven into a terrifying alternate dimension by Ireland's ancestors. Now, all children at some point are called, one by one, into this dark world of the Sídhe to be hunted, mutilated, and tortured before being sent back to their world dead. Sometime between the ages of 10 and 17, the call happens unannounced. You disappear from this world, leaving behind nothing but a pile of clothes for 3 minutes. However, you awaken in a dark, stinking, murderous, gray world alone and naked. Your time here will be much longer than 3 minutes. You have a whole day to run and fight for your life in a world where beasts made from human bodies will either turn you in to the Sídhe for torture, or eat you themselves. The odds of survival are now 1 in 10 instead of 1 in 100 thanks to survival schools that take in and train all youth, but is it ever enough?

Quite simply, my favourite game. Being able to play from solo, to five players, with hundreds of different technologies and businesses, means you will never have the same game twice. If I go away with work, I pack this before my clothes.
While the game can be a little difficult to play in the first game, the second, third etc games will be played much quicker, easier, and more enjoyable. Every one will be different, too. It typically takes about 90mins to 2h to play, in our experience, but there have been longer games - there is an element of luck with both the cards drawn, and what everyone else does! Holding on to a card because it needs the Temperature below -8 degrees, then seeing everyone else pumping the temperature from -12 to -6 means the card is (probably) worthless.
The science is obviously science-fiction but is based heavily in reality, albeit simplified, and very interesting on it's own right.
Expansions do add further flavours and variations, but the base game is absolutely able to stand on it's own two feet.

Princess Kyla is a feisty teenager. She'd rather run around through the woods in her brothers' clothes, learning how to use a bow and sword, than acting like the queen-to-be that she is. Perpetuating her antics is her childhood friend, Jethro, who just so happens to be the cousin of her fiancee. Their friendship has waned since the announcement of her future marriage, but something strange and long-foretold may shove them alongside one another once again, whether they like it or not.
I fell in love with the story from the start. I could readily identify with the characters, especially Kyla, and they just pulled me in deeper and deeper into the story. Melissa has a way with words that makes you feel like you're actually a part of the story, and that makes it so much easier to become engrossed throughout. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop, and I'm anxious to get started on Unseen!! Great start to what I'm sure will be a fantastic series =)

It is not bad
They have so many little neat things, my nephews and nieces love getting presents and Christmas stockings from us. We have about 30 kids we buy for, so this little jem makes showering them with gifts affordable. It has great stuff for grownups too, just remember--this is an Asian based country-- smaller bodies all the way around, including feet. The clothes are sometimes not the best quality and judging sizes(especially for curvy or plus)is rough. And as I said--sometimes you get exactly what you pay for -- a 3 dollar dress is probably not going to look like red carpet fashion. So buyer beware. They have electronics, tech, kitchen ware, craft supplies, curtains, rugs, bedding etc. Just remember to use your best judgement.

A surprisingly beautiful novel.
I knew (and hoped) that this was going to be a good book, based on Kit de Waal's previous book 'My Name is Leon'. I have not been let down. I loved this. If it wasn't a library book, I would probably have turned back to the start and begun again.
This is the story of Mona: her life as a child, a young woman and an older woman (in the present day). She moves from Ireland to England to work and find more excitement than the village life she has experienced in Ireland, leaving her father behind (her mother dies when she is young). She meets a young Irish man and marries him. We skip between the present day and her past from chapter to chapter. In the present day, Mona hand makes dolls which she sells online around the world. These wooden dolls are made by 'the carpenter' and Mona makes their clothes. She meets a German 'gentleman' who always seems a little pushy to me (he made me feel uncomfortable).
It's the gradual revelations that really affected me: the hard life she had and the heartache. Such a beautifully written, emotional novel.
